How do I descale a plumbed steam oven. There is no water container

Disconnect the water supply, attach a PVC Hose and a funnel, hold it above it and fill the funnel with CLR. It should start going down slowly. Fill with water three times. Reconnect your water supply. Spray the inside of the cabinet and especially the jets with neat CLR in a spray bottle, or use a commercial limescale remover like LimeAway. For really stubborn scale, buy masonry cleaner for brickwork from a builders merchant, but be very careful with it as Hydrochloric acid based. Wear full protection, and use in a well ventilated area.

Or ask the makers.

I need to know how much water to put in it.

press the helpful button

Fill the provided measurement cup to the maximum fill line with water. In areas with a high mineral concentration in the tap water, we recommend using distilled or demineralized water to prolong the life of the steam cleaner. Using the funnel, pour the contents of the cup into the reservoir.

Quest Steam 9 in 1. How do I fill with water and use it?

You'll need a very small funnel. only fill with distilled water or you will clog it up after a few uses and it cannot be fixed once this happens. The fill cap may seem loose, the is because it doubles as a pressure safety device. It's fine to seem loose just close it as best you can.

Hi, you could try the following steps, if you have not done so already. Some of these steps may seem like common sense, but it's for people to forget about checking the least expensive part to replace first, so if some of the steps are those that you have already tried, then feel free just to skip through to the ones you have not tried already.
  1. 1
Make sure the power cord is plugged firmly into the outlet. The steam mop will not start if it the power cord is loose.
  2. 2
Check the fuse box or circuit breaker connected to the outlet the steam mop is plugged in to. Replace any blown fuses. Reset any tripped breakers.
  3. 3
Check the water tank if the Shark steam mop will not produce steam. Add water to the tank if it is empty. The mop will not make steam without water in the tank. To fill the tank, turn the tank cap counterclockwise and lift it up to remove it. Set the filling funnel into the tank opening. Pour water through the funnel into the tank until the water level reaches the "Max" fill line on the tank. Replace the cap.
  4. 4
Inspect the microfiber cleaning pad if the steam mop is leaving water on the floor. If the microfiber pad is too wet, it will leave water on the floor. Unplug the mop from the wall outlet. Replace the microfiber cleaning pad. To replace the pad, move the latch strips out of the hooks on the mop head. Pull the pad off. Set the new cleaning pad on the mop head. Hook the latch strips onto the hooks on the mop head.
  5. 5
Use distilled water if the steam mop is leaving white spots on the floor. Hard water may cause white spots to be left.
If none of the above work, then is it something that you purchased recently, and is new? If you did, then it could still be fixed under the manufacturer's warranty regardless of whether or not the original length of the warranty has expired. This could be due to the fact that you have received a product that has some sort of manufacturing fault, rather than it stop working through misuse by the user.
If it's a common problem, then you will more then likely be able to return it to the manufacturer and have it replaced for a new one, let alone repaired :-) - This only applies to whether or not the item is New though :-).
Hope this info helps

Shark steam mop

I had the same prob and found this site off google looking for the solution.

I went back to my shark and took out all the screws, some don't feel like they were coming out but it came apart. Take a pair of pliers and release the spring clip holding the hose to the heat nozzle. Then pull off the hose. Then take a paper clip, unkink it so it's sort of straight with a curve to go into the hole . Shove it in and out to clean out the hole. I got my fingers blasted with residual steam so you should let it cool first. But I think the steam bursting out helped clean out the hole. Don't throw it away till after you try that..It worked great after that. All the best, Satch

My Vev Vigano Kontessa 12 cup espresso maker does not work properly

I had the same problem, so I embarked on a search mission. Here's what I found, and it worked for me. First, these pots are designed to work only for the amount of water specified for each size. So I have a 6 cup pot that requires 9 oz of water. If I try to put 8 oz. of water, I only get about 1 maybe 2 oz of coffee. Size of the grind doesn't matter as long as you stick to espresso grind (some coffee grinders have several settings for espresso grind). As soon as I put exact amount of water, it works much better. Now, you have to understand that some water gets evaporated as steam, and some water should remain in the boiler section of the pot for safety reason. The general advice is to take the pot off the burner as soon as the gurgling sound reaches its peak and just starts to subside.
That may result (as least for me) in weaker coffee than I like. So what I do, is I fill the coffee funnel with coffee grinds, tamp it very lightly, and then using a wooden skewer I make 3 or 4 holes all the way to the bottom of the funnel. That will help the steam to escape. Before I learned this trick, I thought it was a valve problem or a seal problem. As soon as I tried this trick, bingo! I personally like strong coffee. So I didn't want to compromise it and start adding less coffee to the funnel. The thing is that steam wets and expands coffee grinds, and that may be enough to hinder the process. If you make several holes, steam will not be building in the boiler section and escaping thrgough the valve or break the seal on the gasket.
Hope this helps.
