Question about HP Pavillion s7420n PC Desktop

1 Answer

When ever I have to turn off my Hp and then ask it to come back on it will only go to the blue screen with the big HP and after many times of CTRL ALT Delete it will finally turn on. I talked to a tech here in Mi and they say it is the harddrive. The computer works well otherwise as long as I leave it on. Any suggestions?

Open cpu cabinet cover then reattach the RAM memory reconnection both connection to harddrive. Then if still same then follow below. So many computer face this blue screen fetal errors on windows.

This error comes usually when there is problem in software or driver compatibility issue with hardware or operating system.
Also this error comes when there is bed indexing unit in hard drive.
You can solve this errors with following 2 methods.
(1)When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode.
Then if you are able to enter in safe mode then uninstall driver or software which you installed recently and face this error.
(2)If you are not able to enter in safe mode Then you need to fix error on hard drive. For that you need windows disk or recovery disk.
Boot your computer with that disk
For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios.
Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom.
Then save settings and exit bios.
Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom.
Then it boot with that disk. Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.."
Then press any key.
Then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r"
Then type "y"
Then it fix error on hard drive.
Then check if again you are not able to enter in windows then boot again and this time choose "R" option for repair previous windows " then it repairs old windows then it loads again old windows.
Thanks for using FixYa.

HP 1740 screen image rotated 90 degrees - how to move back

Hello,

On most video cards the key combinations of ctrl+alt+left arrow, ctrl+alt+right arrow, ctrl+alt+up arrow or ctrl+alt+down arrow will allow you to rotate the screen display in any direction. Each key combination will rotate the screen in the direction of the key press.

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

How to turn off blue keys for an Compaq mini cq10??

Hi,

if you are refering to the blue letters or alphabets which are present on the keyboard. HP designs keyboard with a billingual layout in some Notebook models.

The HP "Blue" keys are indeed the "French" input keys or other language keys.

How to use the Blue Symbols or keys on a HP Notebook:

We can activate them by pressing Ctrl+fn+right Shift. To deactivate, press Ctrl+fn+right Shift twice, i.e. Ctrl+fn+right Shift then let go off Shift while still holding Ctrl and fn, then press Shift again.

When you press Ctrl+Fn+Right Shift it will switch to the the billigual layout. That means the blue characters become prioritie.

For example, if you are in the billingual layout, when you press shift+6 you will get a '?' but not the '^' sign.

How can I unlock the blue function keys on my HP Pavilion dv2000?

Hi, I had the same problem and found the solution on another website:

To turn on and off Bilingual blue keys:

Hit Ctrl + Shift + shift
(yes, both shift keys at the same time in addition to ctrl)

and that turns on and off the Canadian bilingual blue keys on HP lap tops.

It's so annoying and happens to me frequently. Hope this helps.

Big problem!!! I know that the problem is not that NTLDR is missing. There is a file call boot.ini on the C: that contains the info where the OS is located, for your computer. It is very touchy to change that file. Did you install another OS on your hard drive? Maybe the MBR was scrapped with a new installation. Did you change the HD partitions?

Please, add some infos.

Are you using the nVidia GeForce GO 6150 video card? If this is the case, and I'm pretty sure it is, the NV driver is not being recognized and the system is starting in VESA.
On the nVida, HSYNC/VSYNC frequencies need to be specified, after that the MIXIMUM resolution of 1280x800 should work for you.
