Just had same problem. Checked and cleaned spray arms filter and impellor. Still had problem. Noticed that it appeared to be expeling water to drain at wrong time. Openned mid cycle and noticed water level low.
Took off left side panel to reveal pipework. Main pipe route big oblong in clear plastic had a red valve at the top which was gunged. This was the air release so when water is pumped in air has nowhere to go so it pushes water out through the waste so ther is too little water in machine. Removed this component and used caustic soda to dissolve food waste blocking valve as there is no access. Put it back together and now it works fine. Took about 2 hours (1 hour for caustic to work) no special tools other than star screwdriver required as it all unclips.

Hi could anyone help me please..My Hotpoint WMA52 keeps flooding

It is not draining properly, or overfilling due faulty pressure switch.
Try cleaning the filter first.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Remove large black hose onto bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for obstruction here and in the pump.
Hope this helps.

My machine is a hotpoint aquarius and after a wash the clothes come out of the machine smelley. I also have a grime on the rubber seal around the door

A couple of possibilities her:
  1. Washer not rinsing and draining properly
  2. You are doing too many low temperature washes
Solution to 1 is to check and clean pump filter.
Solution to 2 is, do more high temp washes, even if you do not put clothes in, do a 90 degree wash with powder in, this will help keep the smell from reocurring, and help keep the seal clean.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Does machine have a filter

The filter is to be found at the rear of the washer.
Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove large black hose fastened to bottom of tub.
Watch out for water running out.
Remove plastic`filter inside hose and clean.
Refit filter and hose.
Dirty washing can somtimes be attributed to washing at too low a temperature, so make sure you have selected right temp for washing.
Please leave a fixya rating for my solution.Thanks.
