My phone has texted other carriers since 2/2/08 and 6/13/08 it decided to stop (which was friday the 13th). has this happened to anyone and if i reset my phone will it erase all of my info, contacts, ringtones, messages, sounds, etc??
This happened to me once with picture messages too, and i just called verizon and they took me through a step by step process and helped me fix it. I think it was that my phone just needed to be flashed or upgraded or whatever. They give you the number to call and do this.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

here is whats happening... she is txtg from Brazil (carrier A) to Carrier B which is International then to carrier C (which is you).... carrier C works fast cause you are here (just like A if you were there).....international filters languages roaming charges and if photos are accompany the txt.... lets say you are Tmo, Sprint or ATT here...... (the affiliated carrier down there is xyz, 123 or whatever) so just keep texting her........ its way cheaper then you calling her (her bill will be $$$) roaming/there local fees/plus our local fee and Intl taxes......Wow keep texting he,r if she has a laptop e-mail
Contact your wireless carrier for restriction services or you can change your device's number to prevent unwanted txt messages. Sometimes ignoring the text messages and deleting them, help for future hassle.
Try calling someone. If that doesnt work and an animated voice pops up do what it says and then you'lll get a txt that'll tell you that you're allowed to txt, call, etc. If this is not the case, call the carrier and ask if the txting is supposed to be working and ask them any other questions you might have.
same to me!
there appers no way stop them. whatever how many you top up, they still took you money away for txts, call.
i tired to remove it, but it didnt work
now i am going to change my sim card! dont believe this again, how silly we are!
This has also happened to me while i was on holiday they have taken £12 i think the best way to stop this is to change your number. I am going to ring o2 and complain and see if they can re-credit my balance.
Is this an unlocked phone from another carrier? If so you need to call AT&T to download mms messaging, and Medianet so u can download games and such. Another thing to mention is, if it is from another carrier you may not be able to get games. My razr was from Cingular, I cracked the simlock (cingular refused to give me the key, none the less), cost me $10. I called my carrier (T-mobile) and they were more than happy to send the links to get my txt and web working. The only thing I can't get is games. Backgrounds and Ringtones download fine. Sorry, am babbling, Call your carrier, and I am sure they will send you the links to download txt and medianet. I looked on their site and can't find the links to help you.
