Sabrent USB 2.0 software and driver for VISTA

I have seen that I am not the only one with this sort of problem. The tech at Sabrent is trying to find a solution. I have downloaded the software and driver updates from Sabrent for VISTA Basic. After much searching through VISTAI, Ifound out that the "setup.exe" is not compatible. In fact Windows Media Technology is not compatible with VISTA as well. That is because Microsoft decided that VISTA basic might have problems with multimedia!!! Crazy isn't it.
From the Sabrent site I got the WINPVR , not the DVR. My installation CD from InterVideo DVR has the incorrect serial number on the jacket sleeve. It is not on the CD itself. Id there free DVR software out there? So I am going to try and get Microsoft to find a solution.( HA HA.) and also get in touch with Corel that now handles InterVideo products. In the meantime, please let me know if there is any other software that will work.

SOURCE: Windows Media Center can't detect a TV signal from a Sabrent card

If you have hd card, it might be your cable company not providing hd signal. If you have analog card, and have HD signal that will cause it too.

Hi lynnembryant,
Your problem seems to be related to the driver your capture card uses. I would recommend updating them.
Here are the links:
For Windows XP, Vista and 7 32 bits : http://sabrent.com/drivers2/USB-AVCPT-32bit-XP-Vista-Win7.zip

For Windows Vista and 7 64 bits : http://sabrent.com/drivers2/USB-AVCPT-64bit-Vista-Win7.zip

You seem to need another driver as well for the audio, here it is : http://sabrent.com/drivers2/USB-AVCPT-USB-EPM-286x.zip

You might also want to check their support website here : http://sabrent.com/support/.
