If you can identify the capacitor on the power circuit that is bad you can identify the part number and purchase it right here.

on that website you will find all the capacitors and IC's that are in your tv. there a few dollars a piece. You can use a capacitance meter to test the capacitors. and ic's. you can do that as i will describe below.

A Capacitor is Low R when discharged and becomes High R after fully charging, and can be checked conveniently in the Ohms range. It is possible to check a capacitor in-circuit ( and we do it all the time...) with a capacitance meter (DMM or VOM) in the resistance range. The charge current through the Ohm-meter probes will charge the Capacitor. This will show increasing "R" until it dissappears with an over load or out of range indication. Changing the range to a higher "R" setting may show the maximum resistance of the capacitor. The discharge can now be measured by setting the Ohm-meter to the V range. Leakage is a function of the time taken for the Voltage to drop down to Zero. ( a good capacitor will not allow V to drop to zero).

i hope this helps you so you can fix your tv for probably 30 bucks. as long as you can identify the capacitor or ic that is blown as i described above. Let me know if you need any other information as i am glad to be of assistance.

thanks,
Nathan

then when you find the ic or capacitor broken. and if you can get a circuit guide either online. Or by purchasing the repair manual on the unit. You can identify the broken part. You can also use the marking on the broken ic or capacitor as they always have identifying marks. wether they be lines, numbers or letters. hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Nate

Simple solution? Get rid of it and buy a new TV..A light engine problem generally would indicate a problem with the
power board.you can try to fix it,, but it will cost you a lot, whereas you can get a new piece for a good rate with a warranty. I

f you wish, I can give you a suggestion to fix it, but it wouldn't be worth your while...

Well, you can get the circuit board from HERE.
If you buy their manual, then you get free online service, but once again, I dont recommend a temporary fix. Better you buy a new TV..Cheaper option, and well worth it..

The power supply board for your TV is part # JK08574-A, Google it and you will find multiple sources for it. Ebay would probably be your best source.

I wouldn't spend another dime on what is clearly a lemon. My best advice to you is to cut your losses now and get a better TV.

It's not a fix but a very strong suggestion. This TV of yours is already a money pit and that will only get worse. The board you need to replace is not cheap.

Take your issue to the BBBOnline.org and fight until you get a full refund for everything. Now, that... will be worth your time and effort.

BTW, anyone who has to ask you for a fixed rating before working the problem through with you is never any help to anyone and they get kicked off the board eventually. So, beware of those types.

Should you want to continue to pursue this I suggest you look up Robotek or BestDarnGood through out find expert link on our home page. Both of these tech are board fixers and not just board replacers

Regards,
Worldvet

Put new battery in pulsa chronograph 100m watch how do I get it working Plz help

You might need a jump start the watch, or cleaning. I usually try using a air dust blower ball to get all the particles that is invisible to the eye, you can do this on the movement and around the battery area. Aftwards try inserting the battery again then pull out the stem and move it clockwise at least 10 times passing the 12'o clock marker. If the watch is not brough back to life you can try one last thing before buying a new movement or taking it to the watch repair shop. If you take it to watch repair shop they might charge you a few bucks to jump start the movement. I hope this helps. Marcelo

Need a coil & circuit for a cartier 90

Cartier watches are NOT DIY projects. If you open that watch yourself or take it to a 'regular' non-Cartier repair shop, you may as well throw it in the trash because you'll have destroyed it's value AND Cartier will not touch it after it's been opened by anyone other than their shops. That would also void any warranty protection you may have. You can Google Cartier to find a shop nearest you, call them, they'll advise you further.

Hello, I just bought a Timex Acqua with Indiglo

Depending on when you bought your Timex, you shouldn"t need a battery just yet, your Timex came with a good battery. Look under the stem (winder) for a small piece of plastic that is not allowing the stem to go all the way down, remove that piece of plastic and push the stem down and your Timex will start. Or if your Timex has buttons, look for a tab of plastic on the back cover, this tab of plastic is keeping the battery from (ground) a complete circuit remove this tab of plastic to start your Timex. Changeing the battery while fairly easy, you"d need jewelers screwdrivers and of course the new battery, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change.

The light in my watch stopped working. How do I get it fixed? It is a Timex Indiglo(ladies) I don't have any other info.

Most watches of this type have 2 batteries - 1 for the light and 1 for timekeeping. If you use the light a lot, you may have flattened the battery but the watch keeps going because it's running on the other battery. Take it to your local jewellers/watchmakers/watch repair shop and get them to test the battery and replace if flat. If the battery isn't flat and the light doesn't work then you have a faulty watch - if it's still under guarantee fine, if not buy yourself another watch if you can't put up with the fault.

mcdevito75 here, If the old clock works are Quartz, you may not be able to get a new Quartz movement as it may not be made anymore, BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area, I'm sure they can do something.

Winder is lost

You need a replacement stem and crown. I would replace the stem just to be sure you arent putting a new crown on a damaged stem.

Sakgen is very good about repairing their watches. Unfortunately this doesnt fall under their warranty but the repair directly through them is an average price for this part.

Generic after market crowns are also available at local watch repair shops. Make sure that if you go this route that you select a shop that can reseal the watch to is water resistance rating so you do not void your lifetime limited warranty on the movement. This mean they must have a pressure testing chamber and be able to supply printed proof of resealing.

Good luck!

Mens bueche girod 9k gold watch the gold band is 1 inch short

You have two options and for both you need to find yewellery repair shop.
Option1) Some jewellers sell NOS (New Old Stock) gold watch bands. If your vallet is thick enough for this option- shop around and buy one.
Same jewellery repair shop will be able replace the old band with the new one, even if the band is soldered to watch case.
Option2) In the same shop ask if they can built up (lengthen) the clasp. In this case you will spend less money, but you will loose on looks.
Note: As mostly all gold watch bands are maschine made, it is allmost impossible to repair or lengthen them in a good looking way. Anyway- consult the jeweller first and see what he says. He may have some NOS witch is exactly matching your old watch band pattern.
Good luck.
