Which video graphics i install in my pc with 512mb ram pentium4

If your board is the Mercury model listed, you can download the integrated video drivers from Mercury here. If you are asking what kind of a video card you can install to replace the integrated video, this board has an 8X AGP expansion slot. You'll need a video card that will work in that kind of slot.

I hope this answers your question. If not, please post a comment with additional information. If it has helped, I appreciate your thoughtful rating. Thanks for using Fixya!

Will a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 video card work on a P4B533-E motherboard?

HI Lau_kua08,

First off, your motherboard is a AGP 4x slot, and the Card is a AGP 8X card. However, NVIDIA based graphic cards which support AGP 8x mode (Accelerated Graphics Port) follow the AGP 3.0 specification. The AGP 3.0 specification retains backwards compatibility with older AGP 4x technology. All NVIDIA Geforce and Quadro GPU's which support AGP 8x mode are downwards compatible with AGP 4x motherboards. When a graphics card which operates at AGP 8x mode is installed on a motherboard which only supports up to AGP 4x mode, the card will automatically switch to AGP 4x operation.

So, yes it will work.

Good Luck,

Mark

Graphic cards

Hi Thom!

the card you can use is an APG-card! Your MoBo supports 8xAPG so make sure that you DONT buy a Pci-express card, that would not fit on your MoBo
Here is the spec for you MoBo:

Graphics card issue - GA-0ST800 Motherboard

Your motherboard have an AGP 4X port, you can easy upgrade whit that card since it is an APG-card. Not sure tough that your motherboard can handle all that DDR3 power witch come with the card but im sure u will notice a big improvment.
I think that a cheaper card with 512 Mb DDR2 will give u the same results.

Good luck

Apg video card

Use AGP 4x card. It can either be 0.8V or1.5V.
Using the wrong voltage card with the wrong motherboard may result in damage in board and card.
Also, if you install a card that is not compartible voltage with motherboard specification, the card will not run.
Good luck.
