Somebody hacked my yahoo messenger. How can I change My yahoo password so that the hacker cannot open my yahoo messenger????


Hello there, This information from yahoo might help you:

To change your password:

  1. From the Yahoo! Home page, click on your user name in the upper right.(You will need to be signed in already)
  2. From the drop down select Account Info
  3. You will be asked to sign in again to enter your Account Info page.
  4. Click Change your password
  5. You will be taken to a page that will look like the one below.

  6. Enter your current password.
  7. Enter and confirm your new password.
  8. Click Save. You will see a confirmation page when you have successfully changed your password.
  9. Click Continue.

Your Yahoo! password always applies to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that it is valid not only for Yahoo! Mail but also for Yahoo!'s other personalized services like :

  • Yahoo! Messenger
  • Yahoo! Chat
  • My Yahoo!
  • Yahoo! Finance

Note: If you are having difficulty logging into your account or believe your account may have been compromised please request a new password

the best way to keep someone for accessing your e-mail is to change your password and the password for any backup e-mail accounts you may have for yahoo.

If somebody hacked your email and changed the password and you can't able to open again yahoo mail, you cannot do anything now but to open a new email.

giving out your password wasn't the day's brightest idea. With new new mail update yahoo implemented the "My account may have been compromised" feature which will help you get your account back. It's a 3 step simple process which will verify that your the actual owner of the account.
