sorry, i don't get it. is't display setting or bios mode(payload size)?

i just use the default setting, like ;
- display setting > colors 32-bit, 256 colors no appear(just 16/32)
- payload setting > ever 4096 and 256

Disable the driver for your video card then see if you can get it into 256 color.

Increase graphics from 96 to 128


If you have insralled the correct video driver and you cannot increase the VIDEO RAM then it is not possible to increase the bit color from 96 bit to 126 or 256 bit color.
The only way to have a higher bit color is to install a new graphics card that supports up to 256 bit color (this video card will have large cideo RAM).

The newest driver available for your graphics card is designed for Windows Vista, but it should work with Windows 7. That does not necessarily mean that it will. I have included a link to download the driver below.

Changing colour depth


I think you are using the minimal Microsoft video drivers for your video card. Install true ATI/AMD video drivers for that card and you should get a world of better video out of that card. Go to; http://ati.amd.com to get the latest drivers.

Did you turn your current graphics card down to 256 colors(more then likely your old video card is built into the motherboard). You have to do that before you install the card or that may be causing your error.
