Capacitors have completely flat tops? Bad cap can look normal but can have high ESR.
You alos need to check the DC voltages on the filter caps.
Please read my guide.

No power at all

Check the capacitors in the power supply, check for any bulged tops. Your problem is most likely power supply related.

I turned my tv on, it then turned itself off, there is no red light, have turned off from socket but still nothing.

Hi!
That's a clear indication that you have a bad power supply in your TV.
If you know how to DiY...I suggest you open your TV. Locate the power supply section, it is where the end of the power plug is connected. Replace all blown or bulge or leaked capacitors with same value. That will fix your TV problem.
The hardest part is to disassembling your TV cover, cause you will need to pry off the snap in lock at the edge of your TV.

Power supply board should look like this. Examine the capacitors in the board
power%281%29.jpg2_23_2012_11_31_16_am.png

After replacing blown capacitors...it should work again.
caps%281%29%281%29.jpg

Things you will need.
1. A plastic flat end screw or any object with flat ends....to fry off the cover
2. Soldering iron.
3. Soldering lead
4. Soldering pump.
5. Flat and Philip Screw
6. Replacement capacitors (of same value with the blown one) that you can buy to any electronics store.

Hope it helps

My Reddy Pro 150 does nothing when plugged in. I

in the unit there is a motor and beside motor there is a capacitor.its called starting capacitor.if this capacitor is blown the motor will not start and if motor will not start machine will not start even though you have proper power in the machine.Your starting capacitor is bad. It's usually mounted on the side of the motor. If by chance the capacitor is ok.and shows proper reading value in meter test, then it's the thing that the motor wires between the motor and the capacitor . Usually, less than $10. the capacitor is available at any local electronic hardware shop. ------------ This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Phillips model 29PT6773/05

if the fuse seems to be ok then on the power supply board check for any blown capacitor or any bulged capacitor or ics.that could also create the problem if blows off.you have to replace the capacitors and ics.to make the tv work again.check out for the fauly on the tracks of the main board.

you can also call a tech as it is worth reparing.

thanks.

I think what has happened is that your power supply malfunctioned and what has happened is that a capacitor has blown up. I would suggest that you do a complete search of the power supply to determine the location of the blown capacitor, I would advise getting a schematic to aid you in this. If you don't have experience in electronics I would also advise taking the set to the shop or calling a repairman to take care of this issue.

This looks to be a power supply fault - the inverters for the backlights are built into the power supply (Delta Electronics, model no. ADP-40AF).

No Power at all. Fuse T2AL is blown up

Thanks to Bogbrush (what a name!) above for the hint to check R5107 when the STRG6653 explodes, indeed it was open circuit. I replaced that with a non-SM component since that's what I had to hand, replaced the fuse (2AT), replaced the STRG6653 and replaced the mains rectifier since this looked to have suffered even though cold checks implied it was OK. Then rewarded with a fully working DR-MH200. I had already gone through the power supply replacing any capacitors which had gone high E.S.R, several had. The 27uF 35V capacitor in the primary circuit of most JVC DVD recorders is particularly prone to failure.
