i do see the desktop dimly. but it keeps telling me to run safe mode or some other options and i do just to see if i can reach my personal dektop and it keeps restarting and back to that option page for safe mode. and i changed the inverter twice. whats the power/socket to the inverter? and if its it that rare, is it possible to fix. i can really use the help. thank u.
see if the video card is putting out a signal. by connecting an external monitor and select function monitor to send signal to it., and take a bright light and hold at angle to view lcd screen do you see the desktop dimly.
you may have the rare case of the power/socket to the inverter is not working though I have never seen that in over a hundred laptop repairs.
be certain that the new inverter is not bad , seems more likely that it may be bad.. check that inverter has a gnd and 12volts ~ going to it .
here is a decent explanation of an inverter circuit troubleshooting its a doc file. http://support.advantech.com.tw/support/DownloadFile.aspx?File_Id=1-ZZLO

if you have the desktop then the video card is working, it is still likely that the inverter is bad or not getting voltage. open the lcd to get to the inverter supply wiring . connect a dc meter to ground. and probe the input wiring you should see 12volts. and as in the file link you will see in fig 1 that one pin will come back and be grounded to activate the inverter.
you can connect your ac meter on high voltage ac and try to get a reading on the high voltage connectors leading to lamps but only do so for a second as it will peg the meter with 1500 volts ac High freq.
if you dont have a meter you can use a 12 volt bulb . but meters cost 3.00 at harbor freight if you have one there.
