I have a scph-7700 playstation 2, most games seem to play ok, except Ace Combat 4. The game is in fairly good condition, not scrached up( i bought it from gamestop),it loads fine in my nephews ps2, but will not load on mine, wont read it at all. What is the problem?, and how do I fix it? And one other thing, how d you reset the parental password, if the original password is lost or unknown ? If you could tell me how to fix these 2 issues I would be very greatfull.....thank you...ja

I used to have a ps2 and experienced this exact problem. In my case the lense was dirty, I opened my ps2 and VERY carefuly wiped my lens with methelated spirit (becareful, some methelated spirits that contain oils ment to prevent their consumption, these must be avoided!)then blew out the whole system with a hair dryer. Reassembled it and VWALA! it worked like it was bran new or even better!

You might of had one of the wires connected from the TV to the PS2 damaged and may need new ones or just make sure that the wires connecting each other from the TV to the PS2 are well connected. My little brother use to drop my PS2 a lot too and that happened to me once, but it turned out to only be that the wire got pulled too much when it fell and it disconnected from the TV to the PS2 and I had to only put it in well.
