My sony vaio desktop pc model PCG 2F1L has frozen on the sign on screen. we tried to restart but it returns to the same screen and freezes again. the mouse and curser wont move and the keyboard only work...

Hi there,
I realise this situation could be very frustrating.
Please try restarting you PC and running it to "safe mode".
If you installed any new updates on your operating system lately they could be causing the problem.
From safe mode i think you could be able to uninstall the recent updates or you could try "system recovery", this option lets your PC go back to a date that was working correctly.

Try some of these and let me know if you have any problems!

Hi, my problem on dell inspiron 1526 is this: SYSTEM MODULAR BAY cannot be indentified.... problem is that CD/dvd drive show signs of work(when i turn my computer on Green led blinks, motor starts to rotate...

If the drive functions in another system the the issue is either the motherboard contacts or the controller. Flash the BIOS to the most current version and reset the BIOS defaults. If the drive still doesn't detect, then a motherboard replacement is likely in order.

My Motherboard can not boot or enter bios setup

long shot but if you are familiar with computers try replacing the battery on the motherboard and also make sure EVERYTHING is securely in place where it should be. if that does not help i hope someone with more knowledge can. i had the same problem a few times and once was from the battery on the motherboard and the second was caused by the memory stick not being secured.

My PC auto matically restart when turning it on

The beep you hear is your BIOS trying to alert you to an error in the POST (power on self test) routine. Without knowing the manufacturer of your motherboard one can't be certain what the beeps indicate...see this link for more info: http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm
It's possible you have some kind of infestation, and it's possible there's something more systemic, but without knowing the make and model of your system I couldn't say.
Sometimes three beeps indicates a keyboard error...you could try another keyboard or unplug yours and see if it will boot up "normally" without it.
Otherwise, report back with some more info and we'll take it from there.
