Question about Computers & Internet
I wasn't able to locate any updates for PC-Designer however this is a common problem. Windows is always changing something that interferes with some programs. Until Pfaff comes out with an update your choice is limited to attempting to use the program in compatibility mode. If your Windows 7 is 64 bit, and it most likely is, that is probably the largest part of the problem. Windows is notorious for having problems running 32 bit programs on 64 bit systems. They just aren't very forgiving. You can set this for compatibility mode by right clicking the program start icon, selecting Properties then clicking the Compatibility tab. When you check the box to run in compatibility mode you can choose which previous OS to emulate for the program. This should resolve the issue. You may need to select to run as administrator to do this or be logged in as administrator to complete the change.
