Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Since you've stated already checked the drain hose and it is not clogged, I'd suggest the following procedure.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) wahser not draining. i have checked the drain hose - macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg
3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/dewahser not draining. i have checked the drain hose - macmarkus_28.jpgted the error code.macmarkus_28.jpg

macmarkus_29.jpg
6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

As someone who has plenty of experience servicing Bosch I can tell you this is the most common reason for these machines not draining.

NOTE; Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I have wm1814cw lg front loader washing machine with oe light on and not draining we have clean filter unclogged drain hose and reset by unplugging and holding down power putton and start button als

The OE error or fault code indicates that the washing machine is not draining properly. Check to be sure the drain hose isn't clogged or kinked. If that checks out, check to see if the drain pump or drain pump filter are clogged. Sometimes objects that are put into the washing machine, for example combs, money, hair pins, etc. end up in the filter. Finally, if the drain line is clear and the pump seems to be clear and functioning properly, you may need to replace the drain pump assembly.

The bottom of the tub is full of water won't drain, any idea

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If it's still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps...

Samsung washer WF419AAU/XAA nd error code

What detergent you use could be causing suds to stay on the machine sensor and it thinks it has not drained. The only other things are the elevation of the drain hose and the sensor itself.

I have a Fisher and Paykel MW511 but the water will not pump out can anyone help?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You need to check all of your drain hoses and make sure none of them are clogged. There are many items or articles of clothing that can block the hoses. You also need to check the water pump located inside the washer also. This is what pumps the water out of the tub. It may not be working or it may be clogged also. You can get inside the washer on the back panel or by taking off the control piece, depends which wahser this is. That is where you need to check. Hope this helps.

IT WON'T TAKE THE WATER OUT WHEN SPINNING?

The most common causes for water not draining are:
  1. Clogged drain tube
  2. Clogged drain hose
  3. Clogged drain pump
Removing the drain hose from the tube and inspecting it should give you an idea right away if the hose is clogged. The problem is most likely in the drain pump. Many times, items left in pockets will find their way into the pump and become lodged there.

Wahser will fill then stops and shows a code F-21on the was cycle or F-33 on the drain and spin cucle? What does this mean?

The F21 error code indicates a long drain. Here are some tips that should help you resolve this problem:
  • Check your washer drain to make sure that it is draining properly.
  • Check the drain hose for kinks and clogs. Make sure that it is installed properly per the instructions in your owner's manual. An improperly installed drain hose can prevent the washer from draining properly.
  • Check for excessive suds in the washer tub. Excessive suds can prevent the washer from draining properly and will result in the F21 code. Make sure that you are using the proper amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent to prevent excessive suds.
Remove any clothes and then use a wet/dry shop vac to drain any water out of the washer.

Arrange shallow pans and/or towel in front of the large item filter shown in the second image below to catch residual water when you remove this filter.Remove the large item filter as shown below. It is likely that you will find a clog in this area that is preventing your washer from draining.

If you do not find any clog or restriction in the large item filter and none of the other issues discussed above apply to your situation, then you could have a failed drain pump. If the pump is damaged and will not pump out water then it will need to be replaced.

Wahser stopped after wash cycle, burning smell

Hi, it is possible that something got into the pump and stopped it from turning. Let the drain hose down so that it drains into a bucket or a floor drain if possible.
If water does not drain then it is deffinetly plugged. Once you get the water out of the washer, tip it against the wall and try to remove the pump off the motor. There are two clips that hold the pump on. You will also need to remove the hoses.
With the pump off, you can set the washer back down and try to run the spin cycle. If the motor runs, it must be the pump.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks
Vic
