Question about NAD C315BEE 2Channel Amplifier

1 Answer

I have a NAD C315BEE which is about 2 years old. It has been connected to the same speakers, CD player and wall socket for all that time but has suddenly started making a buzzing noise through the speakers. The buzzing is present on all inputs and at all volume settings, and when the CD player is turned off and is even present through the head phones when I plug them in. I haven't plugged any new equipment, telephones etc in so I don't think it's interference. Help!

I dont have a solution, but I have the same problem with the same type of amplifier. Has there been any solution to this?

I took it back to the NAD dealer. They found a faulty capacitor in the power supply which is apparently a not uncommon problem with this model of amplifier. It was cheap and quick for them to fix.

I had exactly the same problem and quickly repaired it: One of the two 10000uF 50V 85C caps was open circuit; replacing both of them solved it entirely. If you do this yourself, be very very careful to prevent shock.

I have a NAD C315BEE amplifier 5 years old, only one side is working and I have minor distortion. I live in a dusty environment could it simply need cleaning or is this a biger problem

It is most likely to be a small diode or something similar that has given up.What causes this?..generally its just wear and tear or touching speaker wires while the amp is on. You can get it fixed by a technition. It shouldnt cost a great deal.Once fixed,it will be good as new.I had the same thing happen to me once.

How to connect an MP3 Player to NAD C320?

You will need a cable with headphone jack (for mp3) and RCA left/right to connect to your NAD 320. You can connect to CD or AUX in the back and then you will need to change the input with remote or with on board buttons to CD or AUX depending where you plugged it.

Hi. Hope you can help me out here. Some1 is offering to sell me his NAD C521i CD player. Its been with him for 5 years. Is it wise to get it since it is already 5 years old (at least that i what the guy is...

This cd player sound great but have in mind it is fitted with NE5532 op amps in linedriver stage, but single trafo supply, and this player is a standard production line cd player. I owned one, i liked the NAD sound, and i think if you pay something like $100-$130 you will be happy. Also you ask if you shall be aware of something, in older nad cd player displays is sometimes defect, but easy to fix. Also the laser need to be adjusted often. (as in most cd players.)
Step from track 1 to the last traack fast and back to track 1 again, listen to music parts from track 1, track 4, track 10 track xx.
If the sounud is not choppy, if there are coming sound in both speakers and otherwise it sounds good then i think you can buy it without expecting major problems.

I have a 3 year old Nad C315BEE which shuts down after around 20 minutes play, after it cools down and resets it`s fine, looks like a thermal cut out problem. Any ideas as to the cause. It`s not enclosed...

Does it actually FEEL hot when it shuts down? Ther could be dust bunnies inside it.

These things only have so many protection cycles in their lives. If you can't find a cause for the thermal shut-down and resolve it you should take it to a tech for a check-up.

NAD C352 turns on but no sound

The first and easiest things would be to check all connections.
Speaker wires
RCA Cables !!

If you are getting a green light you are getting proper power and ground connection.

Other than that the other possibility's would be internal components, capacitors ect.

I would be willing to bet something has come jarred loose. Post back after you have checked and double checked all connections.

Right loudspeaker problem

Doesnt sound like the selector as it "sometimes" works. Redo the speaker connections on the back of the amp and speakers first. If it persists, swop the speakers and cables, if the problem swops, then it could be inside the speaker or the cable, if still the same then amp has dry joints/loose connections probably
