Question about Denon Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I have denon 1311 reciever, which I have purchased a month back in bangalore. I love this product, but the problem I am facing is that it gets hanged after some time of switching ON. But is not always repeating. Till not this would have happened for atleast 15 times. Each time this happens, we are required to remove the power plug and again plug in, since even the power ON/OFF button on the panel does not function. Is their a solution for this problem. I am highly dissapointed by finding this kind of nuisance problem in a product of Denon.

SOURCE: denon avr-2106 problem!!!

You're drawing too much power from it. Sounds like maybe your sub is hooked up wrong, double check that.

SOURCE: Power Button Flashing Red

If your amp looks like it's going to work as normal (ie the front display lights up as it should etc), but then the amp goes into protection mode when the anti-thud circuit times out, then I know what's likely to be wrong.

It's one of the power amplifier channels which has gone faulty.

I just found this out after having this problem with my AVR-1906.

I took the amp apart and de-soldered the suspected channel power transistors (centre channel in my case).....and hey-presto! it fired up as normal (obviously the centre channel would be out of service).

I have ordered the replacement transistors from Farnell (UK) at a miserly cost of around £2-£3 each.

Just waiting for them to arrive.

An alternative is, if you don't use all your channels, take the transistors from a known working but not needed channel and swap them over with the duff ones.

Hope thats of use!

SOURCE: HDMI XBOX360 Elite -"No Signal"

The connection order can be a key issue as to whether or not the HDMI signals will pass through the system. For best results the receiver should be turned on first, then the source device(s) and then the display. The reason for this has to do with getting the equipment to handshake properly for the HDCP protocol.

If HDMI video will not pass through your receiver, you may with to just connect the xbox using the component cables. Since component will pass through 720p and your TV is 1080i you should expect the same qualtiy and a more crisp picture.

Is there a way to get a Denon rc1146 remote to work with a Denon 3310 receiver?

If you have already tried it and it doesn't work, than there is nothing else that you can do other than purchase the correct remote or just go to a universal remote. You would think that denon would keep their ir codes consistant through different models of recievers.

Connected denon avr 1800 reciever to new hd tv. i cant find my reciever manual. how do i set the reciever to play the tv sound?

If you connect your tv's audio output to the reciever's audio input in the (TVor video section) using audio cables only---red & black or red & white) then select TV or Video on the front of the reciever depending on which connection on the back that you use it should work fine!!

How do i hook an i-pod to my denon-AVR3801. Headphone jack? If so what function?

I'm assuming you want to play your i-pod through your reciever? If so, you need a male stereo mini to dual male RCA Y-cable (follow the link at the bottom for an example). The mini end goes into your i-pod. Plug both RCA's into the CD or PHONO inputs on the left side, center, as you face the rear of your reciever. Left(L) is usually white or grey and right(R) is the other color, usually red or orange.

I hope this gets you started. Ask again if you have more questions.

Elvis Phone

So the handset is not heavy enough to hang up the phone? This is a new development? The spring for the hookswitch may have gotten jammed in the wrong position causing more spring tension. It sounds like a fairly easy fix. You may find a local TV, VCR, etc.. repair business willing to look at it.
