Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
This sounds like 80010514. uh-oh.
I HAVE THE SOLUTION
after 30 hours of working with my PS3, taking it apart, cleaning the Blu-Ray lens, formatting the hard drive, restoring my PS3 deleting all of my data, and changing every setting possible. The solution to error 80010514 is clear to me now.
If you have tried to most of the things i have you think that you last option is to bite the bullet and send it in to Sony and pay the $150.
What Sony does when they get a system in for repair, is they put in a new hard drive, test it out and send it back!
From what i have heard, and experience, this solution is only temporary.
YOU NEED TO BUY A NEW HARD DRIVE
Sony puts in a refurbished hard drive which wont last very long and you have to send it back in a matter of months.
My friend sent in his PS3 that got the yellow light of death (YLoD) 3 times! and out of curiosity, he took out the hard drive before he sent it in. and he got it back with a refurbished hard drive in a couple of weeks.
