Question about Hansgrohe 06649860 Solaris Single Hole Kitchen Faucet with Base Plate - Ste...

Open Question

I have a Hansa kitchen faucet. It looks like the one in the Hansgrohe 06649860 Solaris Single Hole Kitchen Faucet pictured here with the long, retractable handle that pulls out. The faucet leaks out of the body, and the plumbing shop told me I need to replace the cartridge, which I purchased. The cartridge box has the number Z534253 imprinted on it and the bar code has the number 3064225213 imprinted on it. The instructions in the cartridge box have some pictures of faucets on them, and my faucet resembles either a Hansaronda, Hansatwist, Hansaprado, or Hansamix model. I am trying to remove the handle, but there does not appear to be a screw, or any other piece that I can unscrew in order to remove the handle. I can't see anything inside the hole that is removable, and when I put a hex wrench or screwdriver in the hole, I cannot find anything. I have moved the handle all around and still can't find anything to remove. Thus how can I remove the handle on the this faucet?

SOURCE: cross handle hansgrohe faucet I can't remove top piece

Use a rubber glove between the strap wrench and the fixture. It is a little monkey business but keeps the strap from slipping.

Most likely you will need a replacement cartridge to resolve a constant drip. This model uses the M2/M3 cartridge part number 92730000. It is available through your local dealer or online dealer. We don't sell anything here but this site may have what you need.

I am not pushing this company it just happen to be the one that came up when putting (faucet base plates) into my internet search.

Hansgrohe 06566860 Metro Single Hole Kitchen Faucet periodically makes noise and reverts from needle spray to full spray by itself. Have to press on needle spray indicator on top of sprayhead 4 or 5 times...

make sure the hose under the sink, ( the one that goes to the faucet) has not gotten twisted around anything. sounds like it is losing pressure. it takes steady pressure for the stream to maintain that "needle" spray.

What is that rattling sound when i use my kitchen faucet in the extreme hot or extreme cold position?

Water hammer: is a loud banging or clanging of the pipes usually occurring when a valve is turned on or off due to loose pipes.

Solution: Anchor the offending pipes to the wall. Buy water hammer arrestors. Also Lower the water pressure with a pressure reducing valve

Hope this tip Helps.
