Hello, On your Hitachi TV there might be an input select or input control board problem, but first make sure that you do have a live TV, I mean when you say that is stuck in the video mode, does the screen display "video". If it does then try to hook up your Satellite converter box to the TV through the audio and video input that shows up in the screen(ex: video 1 or video front ) The connectors are colored and all the satellite boxes have this type signal outputs. If you are able to get your video and audio through, then there is a problem in the front end of the TV and more than likely the TV will have to be serviced by a qualified tech.

Canon FS200 won't fully initialize 32 GB SDHC card

I heard about that quite a lot of time,in deed. But, I personally haven't load 16 or 32 GB memory card in Canon FS200. At the very begining, I was thinking of using 16 GB SDHC card instead of built in 8 GB memory. The shop assistance don't advice me to buy more than that 8GB because he also know that problem. So then, I am still using with 8GB untill now.

Macro mode and date imprint

In Macro mode, you have to hold the shutter release down halfway and hold it until the focusing system has time to work, then take picture.

Date/Time stamp on image only works in Postcard mode.

Can't take pictures or video

this sounds like it doesn't make sense, and I don't know why it started working ok, but all I did was switch the position on the memory card to ''locked'', put it in the camcorder and of course it told me the card was locked. So I reinstalled it after ''unlocking'' it, and now it seems to work ok. Can't explain why this worked and still don't know what a "Directory Index" is...

Colored lines and rectangles

Sounds like a problem on the digital board. try hard booting (unplug for 2 minutes) to reboot the microprocessor. if no resolution, look for a new board part # bp94-01859f if your model # ends in WX

No picture but sound on panasonic plasma

Unplug the TV and disconnect any HDMI cables to the set. If the issue goes away there is a possibility that your HDMI source is causing the problem. Anything on the HDMI can cause odd problems with the TV since the serial data and serail clock lines are routed on HDMI. Those are the 2 commmunication lines used throught the TV for operation so anything HDMI that might load down one of those can cause issues.

RCA Camcorder

It's been a while since I worked on the RCA full size camcorders as well. It sounds as though the load motor is "jogging" because the mode switch is not in time with the mechanism. I think there are timing marks on all the cams and gears in the unit and an indicator arrow on the mode switch. Set the mechanism to the "stop" mode and align the main cam index mark to the load motor drive cam, be sure the mode switch arrow points to the load motor drive gear "hole", this tells the micro the unit is in "stop" mode.
