If you lost the programing manual for your remote check the manufacturer of the remote's website and look for either a download of the code book or a list of codes for your remote model. You may need to look at small print or a back label of the remote for a model number.

Hello, thats a first and he is completely wrong. The sound will arrive at the stereo at the same time it arrives at the cable box or the tv,depending on what source the stereo is hooked up to.Without going too in depth he is referring to center channel delay which is a feature in some home theaters created to induce a delay when its required, most notably when a projector is used.

Is the subwoofer from the Bose acoustimass 10 series IV Home Entertainment Speaker System a power sub?

The entire speaker system is passive. That is, it requires amplification for each channel.

From the manual: "Compatible with A/V receivers rated from 10 to 200 watts per front channel and 10 to 100 watts per rear channel; rated from 4 to 8 ohms".

My Sony model SS-MSP1 , SA-WMSP1 , AC120V , 60HZ , 50W hums.

If it hums on the audio side on all channels it might be the 60hz mains hum getting through. This is caused by the failure of the large Electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.
Another cause of hum (not in the audio) is the transformer. Also parts that hum should be replaced. If you can't pin down a huming part IE where it is. Then use a drinking straw as a stethoscope, by putting one end in your ear and the other over the PC board.

Hi :) Im technology challenge but follow directions well can you please assist me with connect my bose cinemat ii with a blue ray dvd and my samsung lcd tv?

Hi there,

Well if you are using both SCART connectors, a test you can perform, is to connect the A/V output of the blue ray/dvd player (the audio Red/White - only) to your Home Theater System and see if you can get the picture on the TV and audio through the Home Theater System. If this works, then an alternative is to purchase a simple A/V switch, that you can switch the audio to the Home Theater System when viewing a DVD and then switch back to the TV audio source. Please follow the below link to get a audio switch -

Is there a free place i can get electronic owners manuals

Sony manuals are available on their website, here:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DOCS

For other manufacturers, simply check their website. If it's not available online, you may need to call their customer support phone number.

Is there an instruction manual for a particular model you're looking for?

Subwoofer noise

You didn't say is your sub active or passive. If its active first check signal cables from theater system, power line of the sub, it has to be the same phase as the system. If its passive take a voltmeter disconnect the sub from the system and measure for DC voltage on the SUB output on the system when its OFF.If DC voltage is present your amp is damaged. It can also be that the preamp circuit for the sub doesn't mute the input when unit is on stand by and you hear frequency of your power supply (50-60Hz) on the sub

Sw 300 powered sub woofer

It sounds like your subwoofer acts as a receiver in its own right. Many low-budget home theater systems act this way, and it may in fact have a Dolby Pro Logic II encoder in it. Your best bet is to hook up either the speakers it came with, or purchase speakers from your local audio visual store. Check its power rating per speaker (in watts) in your manual, and purchase speakers that are rated for it.

The "red and white" input you mention are RCA connectors, and should allow you to connect a source to your system. If you have any more specific questions, please post them here.
