There is no problem with your cell phone. It is the due to bandwidth and internet speed available with your service provider. As far as Facebook is concerned, let me tell you that in spite of my having a faster connection I face the same problem on my Dell Computer with Windows 7 when ever I watch videos on Face book. Sometime I am lucky I get in one go and other times it is just wait and watch The solutions lies having a High Speed connections. Change your service provider after checking the speed capability

Why does the streaming video on my laptop freeze while playing (sound keeps going) and when i move the mouse over it it will catch up and keep playing for a second or two?

In your case it would seem that you need to do 1 or both of the following;
!. Add more memory (More memory is always a good thing).
2. Use a Hard drive defragmenter and defrag the hard disk as the more it gets fragmented the worse the video lagging will get, and the more programs will slow down.

Good Luck

Visit our Java support page for information about troubleshooting Java. if you have java remove it and then install new download, uninstall and shut down and restart the pc. then instal the update from web page. flash player is recommended as it shortens down the video needs so it stops freezing up on slow connections. .

Why does youtube freeze for agood few seconds

This problem may occur to anyone, on pretty much any computer and any ISP. It does not matter how fast your connection or video card is if the Google server that your connection is using is overloaded at the time you are viewing the video. It can only deliver the stream at the rate it can handle the output.

The "fault" lies with Google, but servers and data centers are expensive, and it's not possible to have enough servers on the right node to always deliver all the bandwidth being delivered, except at a prohibitive cost.

My son has some incredible songs on youtube and I can only get it to play 20 seconds of the song and then it freezes! What do I do? I can play other videos with hardly any problems.

Usually playing videos is all about a computer's ability to process data quickly. Streaming video is a horse of another color however. It relies a lot more heavily on the computer's ability to get data over your internet connection as well as the reliability of your web browser.
Granted there's nothing wrong with your internet connection (as usually that's the first thing people mention when it exists) try another web browser and see if it makes any difference. For instance if you're using IE, download and install Google Chrome and then give Youtube a whirl. If it's nice and clean with fewer bumbs, that will tell you your IE is getting locked up.
Most common ways to remedy that, if that is indeed the ultimate issue, is to clear your browser cache and maybe do a system scan for adware just in case you have a corporate hitchhiker on board. will give you the Adaware scanner for free if you find you need that scan.
Best of luck! William

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

When the video freezes and the little icon starts to spin, this is called 'Buffering.' It's normal for some phones due to network limitations.

Video's from You Tube and other streaming media send information to your phone in 'packets.' And sometimes, the phone is limited in its bandwidth. (The speed that the phone can download streaming media.) from your cellular service provider. This happens especially if there are several users, using a cell phone tower at the same time. Or, if your cellular company places network limitations on all its customer's use of streaming media.

Your network provider sets the bandwidth for not only your phone but all phones on their network.
And, they have been allowing less and less bandwidth in the past year. To get more bandwidth you only have one option.

Option 1) If you're lucky enough to be in one of the new 4G areas, purchase a new 4G phone. This will almost double your bandwidth and speed. And, video's can play without having to buffer the Data.

Videos freeze

Your problem about slowing, freezing or stopping Youtube video streaming is either the cause of the following:

1.) Maybe you have a very slow internet connections. There is a big tendency that the video you're watching online would stop and go every few seconds most especially if you're playing high definition video (HD Quality). I suggest you upgrade your connection to more suitable range. To do that contact your provider and ask them what subscription is better for your need.

2.) If you have a very fast connection and still freezing every few seconds, I doubt your flash player should be upgraded to its latest version in order to sustain its new definitions and requirements to play the video smoothly as watching DVD. To do that you need to check for latest updates of your browser in Help Menu usually Firefox have this. As you upgrade a warning will show you that you need to download the latest Adobe Flash Player. Sometimes, if there is update in flash it will just pop-up in system tray informing you that you need to install immediately the upgrade.

3.) The video itself has a problem, this was the cause if the owner of the video uploaded it to Youtube erroneously.

Long time buffering videos; video streams freeze

If a streaming video takes a long time buffering from Youtube or another website, it's because your internet connection is slow. If your video freezes up and jitters, that might be your internet connection and/or the video card is working too hard.

Go to this website and run the speed test for the city closest to you and let us know what your connection speeds are (download/upload). This will help us determine if the problem is the internet connection speed or something else:

Streaming video on the internet

Your download speed may be effecting this. What you need to do is waiting until file has completed downloading, then watch the video. If a direct feed from the net, hit "play" on the screen, but then "pause" wait a about 20 secs and hit "play" again, this will give it enough time to get ahead of itself.
