When you download the T40 device drivers from the IBM/Lenevo WEB site make sure you select your model laptop and, they need to be the XP or Vista versions of the drivers you need. When you run the driver programs they will be unzipped/expanded to the hard drive in a folder c:\drivers. Then you need to open the various folders and run the setup programs to install the various drivers. NOTE - The T40 series laptops come with various different manufacturers devices (eg. there are a few different wireless model LANs) and if one version driver doesn't work you need to install a different one. It is a bit of trial and error to find the right one
