Question about Nikon D3000 Digital Camera

2 Answers

My new Nikon D3000 has no live view in the 3" view finder. I am not sure it is a fault or "by-design". Almost all simple digital camaras have live view finder. Someone help me please!

It doesn't have live view. That means you can only view them once you took a picture using the electronic view finder. But if you have d5000 and above then those have live view feature

It's by design. The D3000 does not have the LiveView feature.

Brand new D3000 camera, but LCD Monitor stopped functioning -only get shooting info and other menu functions. Tried reset button but no good

Hello

For a Nikon D3000 all you will see in "camera" mode are shooting information and menu functions. The D3000 does not have a Live View feature where you can view the "live" image via the LCD, only through the viewfinder.

In review mode, you will be able to preview the images you have already taken, however.

Do not have view picture in view screen when focus camera for shooting

If you are talking about the LCD on back of camera, you are out of luck. That camera does not have what they call "Live View". If talking about through the viewfinder, make sure mirror is not locked up and lens cap is off.

Nikon d3000 Trying to preview the photo prior to clicking the picture. Display only shows a black screen until I click.

On most new DSLR cameras, you must activate "live view" to see the picture on the screen before you take it. Check your manual.

The D3000 does not have Live View, you need to use the viewfinder.

I have a nikon d3000. At first I was able to look through the LCD monitor and see what I was going to shoot, but now it just stays a black screen.

The Nikon D3000 does not have a Live View mode that allows you to see what you're going to shoot in the LCD screen. If you thought you saw something, my best guess is that you were mistaken.

Nikon D3000 Monitor is black when taking a picture - any way to change it?

You can get the shooting information on it. If you're looking to use the D3000 as a point&shoot by viewing the image on the screen, then no, you have to use the viewfinder.

The screen can be used to review pictures but not for shooting. The D3000 doesn't have a Live View capability.

Use LCD instead of view finder in Nikon D40

Can't be done. Digital SLR cameras only view through the eyepiece, unless they have a "live view" function, which the D40 does not. The LCD is therefore for viewing an image after it is shot, and setting your menu options.
