Question about BFG Technologies GeForce 8800GTS OC2 320MB: Specifications: GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS Bus Type: PCI Express Memor... Graphic Card

1 Answer

When I run MS flight sim X, the game operates with no problem except for the graphic has a magenta color through the screen (horizontal direction). I had a similuar problem with my Crysis game and what I did to fix the problem I took the screen off max screen and turn up the resolution to enlarge it to fit the monitor and it works fine, but with my flight sim game I can't find a selection to take it out of Max. screen. I have BFG SLI Gforce 8800gts video cards and the OS is W7 64bit. Is there a setting I can adjust in the NVIDA control panel or somthing else I can check to fix the problem. Thanks Gary

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My flight sim will only open in small screen. how do i get it to open full screen

Try pressing (alt) + (enter).
If that dosen't work go to options and go to graphics, you will most likely find a box called fullscreen. If not then just adjust the resolution to wathever you have on your screen.

Why does a pc shut screens down when running a flight sim program but keeps the windows running?

Could be the Video card can't handle the games video, need newer drivers to support the game (DirectX) Most of the time, it comes down to the video card and what all the card can run. Windows runs separate from a game, so a game can crash and windows can stay functional.

Hope this helps.

I have 64 bit system. is ms flight simulator 2002 compatible with that?

MS Flight Simulator 2002 should be compatible with your 64 bit operating system.
It should, SHOULD, normally install.
If you have troubles running the program, I suggest right clicking on the shortcut and run it in XP SP2 compatibility mode. But, you shouldn't have to do that.

How to find an aeroplane game???

Solution: Try Flight Simulator X for FREE and buy the full version if your happy with it. This game is probably the most graphic intensive flight simulator out there in the market except for Tom Clancy's HAWX (a military jet fighter game which has even better graphics). Hope I helped - donman92

When I bank right or left with joystick the screen Freezes

To check the joystick isn't the problem, go into control panel game controls, then check that the joystick appears and you can move the cross-hair around on screen, most modern joysticks are
auto-calibrating, but you could try running the calibration.

To check the game isn't a problem, unplug the joystick, then use the arrow keys to fly the plane, if it doesn't crash when you bank then it isn't the game.

I assume the game is Combat Flight Simulator 3, as very old games that were written for Windows 95,98,ME series often won't run on Windows NT,2000,XP,Vista as they are completely different versions of Windows. If this is actually Flight Simulator 3, you may need to consider buying a later version of Flight Simulator (FSX is the latest version, but may not run on your laptop).

Other things to try are updating the graphics card driver.

Norton shouldn't need deactivating, although it could cause problems if you're playing online.

Also remember that laptop graphics cards are never as powerful as desktop graphics, and games very rarely specifically support laptop graphics.

Hope this helps.

Use of AV8R-01 with Google Maps flight simulator

My blackwidow joystick would not work in google earth, the sim would just crash. I tried a surgestion to remove the blackwidow software and just run it with the ms hid driver. It now works fine, even the throtle and rudder controls.

2. choose properties
3. then settings
4. adjust the screen resolution to lower settings some on the color setting
5. then ok.
Thanks.
