Can you supply the manufacturer, model, or serial number? I am assuming you are talking about the acme nut for the screw drive to raise and lower the head of a full electric bed.

  • patty_prtr Nov 14, 2010

Yes I am. I do not have serial or model number, bought the bed at an estate sale and nothing was writen in the booklet. The bed was made in 1996 according to the tag on the base of the bed. I thank you for any help you can give. Patty

I forgot to mention it is a queen and the cost was around 5 or $600. I don't know if that will help or not. Thanks! Patty

Patty,
Thank you for your e-mail reply for clarification.
We can try to locate your part by description in a diagram.
A very popular full electric bed was made by Invacare and also Hard Manufacturing.
Let's try going to Invacare.com. Click on the following drop down menus.
Click on the tab, parts catalog:
parts category beds and TSS
Homecare beds manual, semi electric, full electric Careguard by Invacare
Bed ends full electric 5301 Low
If this looks like your assembly we are set and I can help you further.
If not we can call a company in New York called Hard Manufacturing.
If these two options don't work you may have to bring the bed end down to a local dealer and see if they can help. Please reply and I will help you further.
By the way, the manufacturer tag may be on or near the control junction box where the motors and hand control plugs in, possibly underneath on the frame.
