Did it fall in water, or have anything else happen to it (was it dropped ?) Also, check the metal prongs inside the phone to make sure they are touching the metal strips on the new battery.

Tablet wont turn on

If it was not damaged by a power surge, fall, or water; look at the power supply to see if you have electricity from the wall to the device. If that is burned out, you cannot charge the internal batteries, or turn on the tablet. If the Power adapter is working, then your tablet circuit board is defective.

Laptop battery falls out

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Hello there, usually when your mobile device falls in water the last thing you want to do is charge it. At least this should be the situation for about a week. This is so because even though the device might come on the insides are not completely dry and electricity mixing with water inside the mobile device is the last thing you want.
Although if after you are satisfied that the inside of the unit is dried you can try charging again and if it does not charge then your charging port is bad and would need to be replaced.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Some laptops, by design, cannot work without the battery. It is possible that yours fall into this category.

I have Hp dv6000 laptop, It was working fie before but now it just doesn't turn on. I can see the power lights on front of laptop, It has the power but it doesn't turn on.

Take the battery out and see if it will boot up. If it does then your battery has gone south and probably needs replacing. Lap Tops have Li-ion battery packs and a safety feature built into the battery pack is if the voltage falls below a safe level for the charging circuit to safely charge the battery without over heating, a chip inside the battery pack sends a signal to the computer,"Do not turn on" This will prevent the battery from causing a fire.

The laptop doesn't charge and cannot work without the battery. when the battery is inserted, it indicates'plugged in not charging'

Most laptops will work without a battery as the house current is converted to usable voltage for the lap top as well as to charge the battery.

The battery is not charging because the voltage level has fallen below a safe level to recharge. Li-ion batteries have a safety feature built into them. A small chip is wired into the battery to tell the power supplly on the lap top that it is OK to charge the battery. If Li-ion batteries internal charge fall below a certain level, that chip signals the charger not to try to charge the battery as it would demand a higher charge rate and raise the battery temperature and cause a fire, so it in effect says don't do it. If the battery charge falls further, then that chip locks out the battery and shuts down your computer.

One thing you can try, put the battery in your freezer for about an hour, and then put it back in your machine and see if it will come back to life. Do not let the battery freeze, just an hour will do. You may want to try this a couple of times, but your batter is at it's life end.
