Question about Maytag Washing Machines
Either your motor is bad or the coupling to the motor and transmission is bad. If you are hearing a grinding noise then the coupling is probaly bad, if you aren't hearing any noise at all the I would suspect the motor or possibly the timer. try moving the timer/selector switch around to different cycles to see if it will work on another cycle, if it does the I would suspect the timer, if not then I suspect something in the motor-tranmission-coupling.
