Ok, that is the RF port. Sounds like tuner fault to me. Did you try any other input sources like DVD via component input. Just trying to confirm the problem.

Yes it sounds like it. Is it under warranty?

Since the search did not find any channels it does sound like tunerboard related problem. Is the tv under warranty and is this the first time you have set it up?

Yes. That would be the best thing to do.

Just get another one. It has tell tale signs of a malfunctioning tuner

My screen turned blue and I can't change it back.

Try unplugging it from the wall outlet. Press the power button once to release any stored power. Plug it back into the wall outlet and turn power back on to see if this helps. If it is connected to a cable box make sure all the cables and connections are not loose. Check to see if the cable box is loose from the wall outlet.

My set is plugged into a cable box. the tv will not turn on either manually or with the remote.

Plug the power cord directly into a wall power outlet, and make sure that the standby light is lit (turn it on/off manually to see if anything changes). If there isn't any light, then it's most likely broken.
If the TV works again, being plugged into the power outlet in the wall, then the problem is with the cable box (i bet you figured that out too).

Tv turns off and on over and over

Hello, This may seem kinda silly but please check that the power cord is fully seated into the tv's power socket. Just remove the power cord from the TV, and re-insert it back in. Also verify that the other end is fully seated into the wall outlet or extension cord!

My 32inch lcd tv keeps flickering it started all the sudden

TRY THIS

    • 1 Turn the TV off with the front-mounted power button, not the remote. Unplug the TV's power cord from the wall outlet. Let an hour pass before plugging the cord back into the wall outlet. Turn the TV back on with the front-mounted power button and wait until it has fully restarted. Bring up a TV channel to see if the image being presented on the LCD screen is no longer flickering. A momentary power surge can cause the circuitry inside the LG-brand LCD TV to function erratically.
    • 2 Unplug the video cable from the video connection on the back or side panel of the LG TV. If more than one video cable is connected to the TV, disconnect all of them. Disconnect the other end of the video cable from the video source device that it's attached to -- a DVD or Blu-ray player, or a satellite receiver or cable box. Blow off the connections on the video source device and on the back or side panel of the TV with bursts of compressed air. Reinsert one end of the video cable into the video source device and the other end into the video input that it was connected to. Turn the TV back on with is remote to see if the picture is now free of flickering. A loose or partially connected video cable can cause the LCD TV's screen to flicker when presenting an image.
    • 3 Turn the TV off and unplug its power cord from the wall outlet. Place a power conditioner next to the wall outlet. Plug the power conditioner's power cord into the wall outlet. Plug the TV's power cord into one of the AC sockets on the power conditioner. Turn the power conditioner on. Turn the TV on to see if the picture is now free of flickering. The RF signals in the electric line that the LG TV is drawing power from can cause flicking through interference patterns being generated.

NO POWER

Need to know how many times the led is blinking.

Try this link for more informationmessage_type_solution.png

Re: tv kdl-55ex620 red light blink 8 times Do a Power Reset. 1. While the TV is off, unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet. 2. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds. 3. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.) 4. Turn on the TV. 5. When the TV powers on and a picture is displayed, reset the TV to factory default settings.
  • If the Reset message does not appear and the TV turns off and on, begin again from step 5.
  • If the standby light begins blinking eight times, return to step 1.
6. After the Reset message appears, allow the TV to reset. Do not press any buttons on the remote control or on the TV and do not make any other adjustments for 1 minute. 7. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. 8. Allow the TV to remain without power for 10 seconds. 9. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. 10. Turn on the TV.
  • The initial setup screen displays if the above procedures were performed correctly.
11. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial set up. 12. Perform a system software (firmware) update.

Check to make sure TV is on, there should be an indicating light when on. Check to make sure that coax cable or input cables are connected. Make sure that TV is on proper input for the device that you are trying to use i.e. DVD, Blu-ray, Gaming console, Cable or Satellite Box, etc.. Make sure that the input device is turned on.

If TV will not turn on it is likely that the TV set needs to be repaired, before calling your local TV repairman try unplugging the TV for a few minutes, then plug back in and try it again. you may also try plugging in something else to the outlet where TV is plugged in to make sure that the outlet is working or that if using a power strip that the switch is on, and circuit breaker is reset.

Tv sparks bad when i apply the cable cord to it

EXTREME DANGER!!!!!

PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY:

all appliances made in the last forty years have a polarized power cord.

One pin on power plug is small and other larger--the larger goes to the neutral side of the electrical outlet.

If you get sparks when you hook up the coax to the cable fitting--only one of two possible reasons.

Either the polarized cord has been defeated (plug modified) or the outlet you are plugged into is not wired right.

Understand--it does not have to be at the set you are using---if somewhere else in you home a cord is defeated or an outlet is bad--it will feed the problem via the coax to every other set in the home connected to the same line.

What you are seeing if you get sparks is the coax fitting has 120 volts AC getting to it either by the coax or from the power outlet--

The easy way to find this is disconnect all coax connectors in the home and with a voltmeter hooked to a earth ground (like a ground rod or pipe made of metal) measure for AC voltage to the coax.

THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION-BE VERY CAREFUL--

If even one set or outlet is bad it will feed this via the coax to all sets in the home---I have seen this before-yes it can destroy a TV! but it can also hurt or kill someone--this is the reason all power cords are now polarized.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ASK ME--IF IN DOUBT HAVE AN ELECTRICAL EXPERT CHECK THE WIRING AND MEASURE FOR AC VOLTAGE TO THE CABLE--ac voltage can kill--it is the same as connecting a wall outlet to the exposed areas of the set.

THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF--DO NOT TREAT IT LIGHTLY!

Insignia 26" lcd tv

This sounds like a safety feature built into the television. It may be trying to protect itself from an unsafe electrical source. The more expensive the equipment, the more sophisticated the power supply that converts the power from your outlet into your television. There could have been a lightning strike that has disabled the tv. Or it could be a faulty outlet.
Before called for a technician, I recommend plugging the television into a different outlet. use a good quality extension cord if necessary. You may find that your outlet is not polarized correctly.

If you want to look into this issue further please try our premium service or use our online listings for a technician near your.

Thanks and good luck. :)

Insignia Flat Screen TV - no cable signal

Hi, need some help here. I have a flat screen tv that will not go on. Its not even 2 years old. Yet I had to keep trying the wall outlet to get it to turn on. Now it won't go on at all. The tv light use to be blue when it was on. Now its pink? Should I ask santa for another, or can this be repaired without too much fuss/cost? Thanks!!!!
