Is it blue cap by the lamp connector? There should be more than one close by another lamp connector. It will be labeled with something like 22J 3K.
Post the picture if you can.

Nevatb, Please send the brand name(s) of the filter capacitors that are installed on the switch mode power supply/inverter ballast board. May need to replace those that "look" ok also. 12fixlouie

ps: Hope you took lots of digital pictures so you can do reassembly of unit.

Relisys Sound

CJ,
1. Check make sure the audio cable are plugged in from the monitor to the PC output audio jack (light green).
2. Open your on screen display and go to Volume settings. See if it set on mute or set to 0.
3. Turn of your monitor & PC and unplugged all the cables from your monitor and PC wait for 10 seconds and then replugged it all the cables and audio cable back. Then turned on you PC...
4. If it still doesn't work.. open the back cover see if the speaker cable are plugged in.
5. If that doesn't work...then your monitor AD board built-in speakers are defective.
6. Why not just used a external speakers, it give better sound quality.

Monitor goes black

If you can see the backlight ,white 2pin connectors connect to invertor pCB.Look around these two connectors you should see 2 brown/yellow/red transformers with a ferrite core. These are the inverter transformers , resolder all pins and power transistors around it.
That should solve your proble.
Please provide feedback and rate this solution.
