SOURCE: I have a Cozy one-sided

Can you remove the front cover to the wall unit? Look for the wiring and follow it till you see a round about the size of a fifty cent piece. Should have 3 of them. One of them is not closing and allowing the signal to go through. So turn up the t-stat to call for heat take each one of the limit switches and by pass them one by one till you find the one that is bad. Depending on where you hit the cover is where I would look first. The limit's are rated by temperature so replace with correct size. You should be able to see the temp. on the limit something like 180 is what you are looking for. Also make sure the wires are in good shape where they connect to the switches. Might have a loose connection. ken

If you take thermostrat back off and connect the wires together will baseboard heater get hot. If not you may have bad heater. If it gets hot your new tstat may be bad. The way you have it wired is correct. Most line voltage tstats have a ground screw. Your 's may not but will work without one .

The "diode" that your electrician mentioned is actually a one shot thermal fuse.
You can either go to the Nutone website for parts, or remove the thermal fuse, extract the info written on it and buy a replacement. Mine was a 100C 10A thermal fuse. I got mine from DigiKey.

Can 2- 220 wall heaters be run off the same breaker

all depends on the wattage of the heaters. add up the wattage of the heaters divide that answer by 220 and that will give you your amperage draw, then you must size your wire, breaker and outlet accordingly. you can only load a braker to 80 percent of its amperage by the CEC.
