Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor
Hi my monitor was working fine , Then today , everything has gone to the Middle of the Screen. And sort of gone bright. I have try another monitor on the computer and the computer is fine. When the gnr Monitor Is on everything in the middle of the screen, and half of the left side Is Black. When i first switch the pc On the screen is fine, when Loads, and if i go into the bios Is fine. Soon as windows xp Logo comes On , it all shifts across. Can any One Help with this . Thanks
The problem is nothing that you can solve just openning the monitor case.So i just want to let you know that is not just a driver gone missing or a bad cable.Unless you have a frind or someone that knows how to fix it i suggest you take it info store to repair it.I can tell you tho that the power is fine so as the display. The problem is very simple but you have to know what you are doing. If you take it to repair shop let them know that a piece on the board that they need to change and it cost more or less from 2-4 Euro.I dont know in dollars how much it can cost but not more then 5 dollars. So a fair repair shop will ask you about 15-20 dollars or so.If they say more i suggest you buy a new or used one.Any questions send mail to firstname.lastname@example.org

Did the other monitor have the same problem or was it ok? If it's just the one monitor, it may be on it's way out. It is very dangerous to open a monitor and try to repair it. Don't do it yourself unless you know exactly what you are doing. Have you installed anything new in your pc? What about seeing if there is an updated driver for the monitor? The monitor's website - support page - should have a driver update. See if that works. If you recently installed a graphics program, it could be a setting there that is messing things up.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
