according to the manual, in order to prepare steam, I have to press the steam botton and then wait for both steam button and brew botton to light on, then i can use the steam. However when afer i press the steam botton, the brew botton never lights on, I waited and nothing happened, so the steam doesn't work either. The brew botton byitself does work, so making coffee is not an issue. Only when I try to use steam, the button never lights on.

The model you are talking about is probably very old. I bought mine a month ago and there is only red lights no green lights. Also the instruction now is all different, in order to prepare for the steam, both lights (brew and steam) should be on. Mine actually worked for about 4-5 times, and since this Saturday it stopped working (i.e. the brew light doesn't light up any more when I prepare for the steam).

hi, thanks for everyone's answer, but none of them is correct. It turns out that it is not working any more and I was told to send back to the manufactory for repair.

You don't have enough water in the boiler to produce enough steam. Before hitting the steam button, turn the steam knob on, and push the brew button in with a cup under the steam wand. Make sure a steady stream of water is coming from the steam wand and then shut the brew button off and turn the steam knob off. That will make sure the boiler is filled. Now push the steam button in and wait for the steam light to light up.

If you have a warranty then send it back and have your unit repaired. If you have to pay for the repair then see if it would be cheaper to just buy a new one first

In order to prepare steam you should press the steam button. The green light "ready" will turn off until the machine reaches the correct temperature, thus the "ready" green light will come on again.

Now you can turn the steam / hot water knob at left side, at the beginning will give some water and after will start the steam.

This is the procedure for producing steam, you should not wait for the brew button to light on just the ready green light.

Here is the link for the manual if you need it.

My Rowenta pro precision iron steam station gets hot but doesn't steam. How do I get the iron to produce steam?

There are two cause. One the boiler resistance doesn´t turn of because of snap disc or bimetal thermostat fault or because a coil in the working valve (security valve). But if you can heard a click of opening movement of valve when you push the button it is able to be a thermostat.

I have an elitech steam generator. It has stopped producing steam and a blue light on the base flashes? I have never used tap water and have changed the filter but it still doesn't work.

follow the steps: God bless you
If a routine cleaning of steam vents, channels or holes does not clear the blockages, you can use a steam iron cleaner. This is a mild acid type of cleaning mixture specially prepared for such a job. No other form of fluid should be tried; it may damage seals or jointing compounds used inside the iron.Use distylled water very IMPORTANT.
God bless you

It's not brewing the coffeee, the water doesn't come thru and the brewing light doesn't come on. I did get the water out by holding the brew button continously

when you hit the button do you here the clicking noise.
if not then the first check that the voltage is going to the solenoid .And also check that solenoid isn't gone bad.If solenoid okay and you find no voltage then replace the switch.

if you didn't see any light then use AC current tester to check that the voltage is comming into the brewer or not.

i will be happy to assist you thank you bye

The S9 has been unused for three months and I cannot get it to get water to the brewer. It keeps telling me to fill the water and press the steam button. No such luck. Is there a way to prime this machine?

Hello
This is a common problem and there`s usually only 1 thing you can try to do yourself. Use luke warm water in the watertank and repeat the fill system procedure 4-5 times. If this doesn`t help, try to shut down the machine and try the same after 30 minutes. If nothing happens after you tried this a few times, then theres a problem with the solenoid valve for steam, and this need to be changed. That`s something you need help from a technician for.

Does not heat &light went out

This problem usually happens when the thermostat goes bad- if it's within your three year warranty period, call Bunn at 1-800-263-2256 and ask for tech support. they will give you a RMA number and return instructions. If it's not in the warranty period, sadly, you need a new brewer, as the parts for these brewers are not available

Have the model number, the country it was made in and the date it was made. All found on sticker on bottom of unit. They are foreigners that answer the phone, so be prepared to spell everything. It takes 3 weeks to get the parts but I found them to be inexpensive.
