Question about Olympus Cameras
I assume you've got your pixel resolution set where you want it. If that's the case, if you've noticed a degeneration of picture focus quality, you could be having problems with the focusing ring inside the lens assembly. Lint, dirt, dust, or sand can work it's way inside and jam the normally free-wheeling circular lens, controlled by small electrimagnets connected to the main board. You can try spraying some compressed air into the lens assembly, in the hope of freeing it up.
If that doesn't help, the unit will have to be serviced, since it will be a worn part issue or control board problem.
Take it in to a camera repair shop, and get an estimate, then take it from there.
Often, it's better to just buy a new one, since they're always coming down in price.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Sounds very much like you have a problem with the autofocus motor on the lens. Does the image on the back of the camera screen look good when you focus the camera just before taking a picture?
