I looked for your model but could not find it but there is one close to your number. Here is a link I commonly use.Anyhow, did you remove the cover on the instrument panel? When you remove the panel, the board may still be contained within a plastic casing which may just pry apart or unscrew.About all of the electronics except for the magnet is behind the display/instrument panel.Greg

That's kind of strange. When you removed it,is there anything behind it,a hole or more plastic? If there isn't any wiring going further back,I really don't know what to say.Of course,Viking's FAQ's were completely useless.A common reset for digital electronics is to unplug it for about 5 minutes then try again as they tend to 'lock' up.If that doesn't work,I guess you will have to try Viking again.Trying to get any help other than have them want to make a housecall is like pulling teeth.Also,99% of service or repair manuals are not available for free because of copyright laws.Just be persistenet,if one person doesn't tell you where to look specifically, try another.Someone will eventually.I do it with my stuff when it gets to that.Wish I could help more.Good luck,Greg

The microwave does not heat up the food much. I pressed defraust the other day by mistake and i don't know if the microwave kept that function though I pressed cancel and start over. How do I make it...

YOU PROBABLY BLEW A FUSE? YOU CAN REPLACE THIS YOURSELF, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE HOUSING COVER OFF USING A SCREW DRIVER..TO GET TO THIS FUSE...PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR MICROWAVE UNPLUGGED WHILE DOING THIS!

CHECK YOUR FUSE TO SEE, IF IT BLOWN, THE WIRES IN SIDE WILL NOT BE CONNECTED OR YOU WILL SEE THAT IS BLOWN BY THE COLOR (BURNT)

YOU CAN GET ANOTHER FUSE AT A LOCAL RADIO SHACK, OR ELECTRICAL SUPPLY STORE! THEY ARE VERY UN-EXPENSIVE TO PURCHASE, (BRING YOUR OLD FUSE WITH YOU TO MAKE SURE TO GET THE RIGHT ONE.)

HOPE THIS HELPS!

How to change the fuse on Kitchen Aid model KEMS308SBL02 combination oven and microwave. The oven door locked after a power outage this week and now the oven won't come on.

Hi,

Press the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder appears on the display.
Perform a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a moment. Plug the GE microwave back into the wall power supply to reset any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock.

What this indicate can be view from two ways.

1) from the element

You will have to check on the element

I was defrosting meat in the microwave and my microwave just quit. The fuse box was checked. MY microwave is blank. What is the problem?

If there is no action please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.
So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off.
Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if contact is not through the microwave will not work.

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test.
If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.
If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

Microwave oven cuts out after pie inside catches fire.

When you mention the fuse, if you mean the one inside the microwave, then your magnetron is probably damaged and you should just get a new microwave.

If you're talking about the fuse in the electrical fusebox, then you could try opening the case of the microwave and finding the fuse inside. If you aren't familiar with working on HIGH VOLTAGE, then don't do this, take it to a service tech. But if it's out of warrenty and you are experience with working safely, you can look for a fuse inside the unit. As I said above, though if you do change it and the oven still won't work, your tube is probably dead and it's not worth the money to get a replacement part.

But again, I'll stress that the microwave has a HIGH VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY inside, and if you aren't familiar with working on things like this then just take it to an appliance repair store.

I have a ge jkp86 electric oven the oven will not heat up .the microwave works and all displays work

First thing that comes to mind is to make sure you are getting the correct voltage to the oven, you need 220 / 240 volts, check your breakers, fuses ,etc.
It is possable for the microwave oven to operate even if the power supplied to the oven is only 110 volts, but that low of voltage is not enough to power up the ovens heating elements.
If all seems well there, then maybe the oven element has failed / shorted ?
Good luck !

Viking VDSC3656 oven relay (PM010129) failed again

Try to find a relay that has higher contact ratings. Grainger hardware might have one that would fit. It sounds like a design problem and requires a bit of re-engineering to fix it permanently!

Viking electric range

There is another fuse or circuit breaker inside the range. House fuse is at least 50 amps which would be way too large for 110 volt things. Your instructions will tell you where it is. Frigidaire used to hide it under one of the burners. I don't know where it is on a Viking.

Viking oven won't turn on

I had same problem (twice) with my Viking dual fuel range. In my case a relay that supplies power to the oven heating elements failed. The convection fan would run. The elements were warm to the touch. If you have a free standing range, it may be that relay (part number PM010026) which is located in the front of the stove. Remove a long narrow stainless steel panel (1 screw each side) located under where the door hinges. You can hear the relay click when you turn up the oven thermostat. That will help you locate the relay.

Note: Viking does not sell parts. You have to find their parts distributor for your part of the country.
