It sounds like you have straight gas instead of mixed gasoline in the tank. When you do this you wont have any lubrication inside of the engine, and you will have metal to metal contact. You can do this only once. It sounds like you did it once, then restarted it and it did it again. If you took a pan or bucket and dumped the fuel into it, it should be a blueish color, if it is a yellowish color you dont have ant lubricating oil mixed with it. This is what caused your failure.

If you have seized the have a decision to make. You can have a small engine shop try...... to free it up, but the damage has been done. The engine most likley will not make the same power anymore, and cost between $50 and $100.00. depending on how long it takes them to free it up. Once they free it it may not run at all. Your best bet would be to get another one, and Double check the fuel before starting.

Sorry for the bad news.

usual if the pump is dry you need to try bleed get some water to the pump. either pouring some in the lift pipe some pumps have a bleed screw to pour into to get it pumping. if it still wont could be the fins in the pump that are not working proper

Homelite String Trimmer not firing.

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Usea Den Tek Brush, (, to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.

(NOTE: If the cleaning doesn't work, then buy a carb. kit and replace all appropriate parts.)

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

St185 Homelite string trimmer starts then dies

I resolved my problem by taking apart the carborator and cleaning it. There were clogged passaged that had stuff come out of them when I used airisol carb cleaner to blow them out. I only had to make one gasket the carb mount gasket which is pretty basic only 5 holes.
It ran for the next 3 hours, ran fantastic!!!!!!

Motor will not start

For some reason the engine is flooded. To make it start do the following: turn the choke off, hold the throttle wide open and crank it until it starts.Do not push the primer bulb first. It already has more fuel than it can burn. It will smoke more than usual until it burns out the excess fuel. You may also have a carb problem but this should allow the engine to start so it can be diagnosed.

Please rate this solution if it helps-

Homelite AP 125 two stroke motor will not start after replacing fuel lines. There is fuel coming into the carb and into the cylinder as well. Motor will not attempt to start. Spark plug is new and has...

If you have a two line fuel system make sure the lines didn't get crossed. If they are you could still get gas to the cylinder but not enough. I hope this will of some help to you. Donnyb60

Replaced the fuel lines primary and return will not start now

You must go back over your new line replacements and see what you did to "starve fuel" first .Sounds like you have created a problem in new fuel lines
