Question about AEG B5741-4 Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

I have recently had a MCC3880E-m oven fitted in to a housing unit by a Magnet kitchen fitter and It keeps flashing up a red ErC on the left hand side of the display panel - the Kitchen designer at Magnet has phoned a technician and was told it could be the "ambient" temperature of the kitchen , but this is not the issue. We were then told to run the main oven on 200 degrees for 10 - m15 minutes and this might sort it - but it hasn't. Can you help please?

The "technician" has no idea why your oven is defective but the fact remains it was defective when installed. Magnet needs to take responsibility for replacing it.

SOURCE: ERROR CODE F6

Hello,

F6 error code relates to the power board excessive temperature, this points to the cooling fan situated on top of the oven unit being faulty.
You already said it was noisy which is most certainly coo;ing fan.

Hope this helps.

My oven keeps randomly beeping and flashing F-1 recently. When I push cancel it stops, sometimes for an hour and sometimes for a week. I have tried to reset by turing circuit on and off, but problem does...

Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

Most likely, the digital panel just kind of locked up. The first thing I would try is to turn off the circuit breaker at your home's breaker (or fuse) panel for about 5 minutes and then turn it back on again. This should "reboot" it and hopefully the oven will get its brains back!

I hope this helps! :)

Usually F11 is a comunication error and the initial fix is to remove all power for 30 seconds then try it again.

The oven element that did not turn off is a sticking relay on the Electronic Range Control (ERC) board /clock timer that did not open the relay electrical contacts when the power was removed from the relay coil. Or there was an on the printed circuit board (PCB) fault in the ERC that allowed power to remain on the relay coil until you removed power by pulling the fuse.

The most probable cause below with the cheapest source being Sears Direct in 2nd link.

Oven flashes F2 and beeps in the middle of baking or broiling something. Our oven is all electric and recently whenever we start to broil or bake something, after a little while it will shut off and the...

HI. an F-2 during a baking cycle is the result of an out of control oven temp that has reached Temperatures above 615F-630F

If this actual over temperature condition occurred, Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

If no over temperature condition occurred, Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit , not actual oven temperature.
