Well you can do this using a DVD burner software like Nero, but my next question is.. is it legal in your country to burn rental DVDs for personal use. No offense at all. Just making sure that I am not breaking the ToS of this site to answer your question. In some countries it is allowed so just making sure, yours is one of them!

I dont know how too broadcast myself

How To Broadcast Yourself On Youtube Making and sharing your own videos, sounds exciting doesn't it? However, before making plans for your next online video, you are advised to think about how the process works. This is important because it will let you know what type of equipment you will need to get started.

Before uploading and sharing you newly created online video, you will first have to shoot it. To do this, you will need video recording equipment. Video recording equipment can include camcorders, webcams, cell phones, and some digital cameras have the ability to record a few minuets of video. If you are looking to produce a quality video, you may want to think about using a camcorder or a webcam. Cell phones and digital cameras will work, but many only provide you with a limited amount of recording time and you will need a steady hand. In addition to a limited amount of time, not all digital cameras and cell phones will record sounds, although audio or commentary can be added in later.

Once you have created your online video, you will need to find a way to get it to your computer. Most recording devices, including camcorders, webcams, digital cameras, and cell phones will come with the necessary equipment. Once you hook your recording device up to your computer, your video should begin to load. However, for this to be done you will need to have movie making software installed on your computer.

When it comes to movie making software, you will likely find that your computer already has a program on it. Most computers, especially ones made within the last few years, have the software programs preinstalled. If your video does not automatically load, once your recording device is hooked up to your computer, it may be a sign that your computer does not have a movie making program. If this is the case, you will need to purchase some. Movie making software programs which can easily be purchased online or from a wide variety of different retail stores.

Once your video has been loaded onto your computers hard drive and recognized by movie making software, you have a number of different options. If you are satisfied with your video, as it is, you can save it and then move on. If you would like to make alterations, now would be the time to do so. Depending on the type of movie making software you have, you should easily be able to edit your video. This editing may include, but should not be limited to, deleting scenes, adding captions, and the adding of music. Once you have made all of your edits, you will need to save your movie.

The final step to making an online movie is to find an online video website that you can upload your video to. One of the most popular online video websites is YouTube.com. Simply click on upload, you will have to sign in and join by entering your details. After you follow the directions, provided by Youtube, your video will be displayed for the rest of the world to see.

Quick Summary

Record a short clip using your camcorder or if you have a digital camera with recording features, you can even use your mobile phone, but you need a steady hand. When you have finished, simply download your movie to your computer.

Now you need to convert your recording into a YouTube format, for this Apple Mac's QuickTime Pro is ideal and it's quite cheap to buy. When you have finished editing all that's left for you to do, is save your movie in MPEG4 and upload it to Youtube. Congratulations you have just learnt - How to Broadcast Yourself on YouTube [http://www.broadcastyourselfyoutube.com].

System Requirements, Windows 2000 or XP, 233 MHz Intel Pentium class or better processor, and at least 128MB of RAM Editing software some thing such as QuickTime Pro will do the job, there are many others.

How to edit Media Center Recordings

Easiest FREE way I've found to edit Recordings made in Windows Media Center is done using Windows Live Movie Maker (Part of the Windows Live Essentials Free Downloads)
I have found that there is some technique involved in making successful edits of the recording.
  1. Open the recording you want to edit in Movie Maker, click save and name the save file what you wish (This file just stores your edit markers and makes no changes to the original recording)
  2. Since most recordings have some overlap, you first need to find the actual beginning and end of the recording, under tools, mark the start and end points using the buttons labeled as such. Click SAVE
  3. Editing the commercials is done in a similiar manner. Browse thru the recording to the start point of the commercial, under tools, click the SPLIT button, then browse to the end of the commercial segment, click split again. (This separates a the commercial portion from the rest of the recording) Right click the commercial segment, Click Delete on the drop down menu and that commercial is deleted (Note the run time is adjusted to the removal point) Click save and repeat on all other commercials.
  4. Once editing is complete, you should have about 22 minutes for a half hour show or 43 minutes for an hour show. Click Save
  5. Here is where I drove myself crazy till I learned the trick. Once edits are saved, CLOSE movie Maker. I don't know exactly why, but I spent a week learning that no matter what I did, 90% of the time when I tried to create movie, movie maker would LOCK UP. Trial and error eventually proved that if I made my edits, then Saved and closed Movie Maker. The re-opened Movie Maker and opened the edit file, that I could then Create Movie successfully every attempt. Click File, Create Movie, and choose your format. (I use widescreen) Saving process is slow, about the length of the show or 1% per minute. This creates a .WMV file about 1/3 the size of the original.
  6. If you want to compress the file even more you can use an encoder to convert the file from WMV to a compressed format (I prefer AVI) I use SUPER © from Erightsoft.com

Publish and save your Windows Movie Maker movie to your computer

As most of you know, I make computer video tutorials and post them to Youtube for everyone to learn about computers. I do not use anything fancy or even expensive, in fact I use the free Camstudio program to record the tutorial and Windows Movie Maker to edit it... Windows movie make comes with most versions of Windows. In this tutorial I will show you how save and publish your windows movie maker production to your computer. This way you can watch it anytime you like, email it to friends, or upload it to Youtube.

What do you need to save a movie to your computer?

* You will need to have Windows Movie Maker on your computer. If you have a normal version of Windows then you will have Windows Movie Maker installed as well, however some versions do not have it. For example Windows Seven Ultimate doesn't have it.
* You will need a finished movie ready to save. You might have used Camstudio or even a video camera to record it.
* You will need storage space to save the movie to. If you save your movie as an .avi then it will take up twice as much space as a movie saved as .wmv. I usually save my movies as a .wmv as Youtube happily takes this format.

How to Publish my movie to save it on my computer?

When using Windows Movie Maker instead of saying save movie, this program uses the term "publish movie". Therefore we will publish the movie to the computer. This will save the finished movie file to play at a later date.

In this tutorial I will presume that you have finished editing your movie and now want to save it onto your computer.

1. In the tasks menu on the left side, when you have your program open, there is a menu. If you do not see this menu, press on File at the top and choose publish from the drop down menu.
2. If you do see the menu, go to the Publish section.
3. Click on "This computer". See the screenshot below.
4. A Publish movie dialog box will appear.
5. Fill in your movie name.
6. Press on browse to choose where to save your movie on your computer. See screenshot below.
7. Then press the next button.
8. The next window will appear.
9. Choose what setting you want your movie to be. If you choose the top choice, Best quality for playback then your movie will be an AVI and will be bigger in size and need more storage space. See below.
10. If you choose the more settings choice, you can choose more options.
11. See below, if you click the drop down arrow you can see the choices.
12. I usually choose "Windows Media DVD Quality (PAL) (3.0 Mbps)"
13. Down below it will show you the exact details of what your movie will be.
14. Now when you are ready you can press on the publish button and the movie will be converted and saved to your computer.

You can record screen with a freeware tool called Screen Recorder. It's working well on Windows and the quality of the video is rather good and there is sound in it.
Good luck!

Dazzle will only rcord 103 minutes and movies are 120

Are you on Windows? What version (XP, 98, Vista, etc?)
What file system are you using (right click on the drive in My Computer and select Properties)

If you are using FAT32, there is a built in limit to 2GB files. If you are finding that your capture is hitting 2GB (=103min?) and then crashing, this may be your problem. Also, consult the capture settings in the Dazzle software and ensure no file size or running time limitation is selected there.
