JVC HD-52G786 Service Mode

I was wondering if you could tell me how you had entered the service mode, and if it's possible to do so without the manufacturers remote, such as a universal remote and how you reset the hdmi input. It'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sure. I'm not sure if you can do it without the original remote, though. On my remote, you need to have the tv turned on, then press the sleep timer, then press the display and video status buttons simultaneously. This enters the service mode. Then, you should see an option for self-check (#2 i think). Enter that, then you should see 2 vertical columns of different inputs. From that screen, power the tv off. This resets all the ports on the tv.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Enter service mode

I'm wondering if you realize what little information you have given us to help you with. I have to make major assumptions just to begin... it must be a digital washer to have a service mode... so its a recent model. Generally, service modes are entered by doing things that a consumer would be unlikely to do, like holding several buttons down while turning the unit on. I assume also it has some sort of display to tell you what is going on.
Really, I can't be much help until you give more info - make and model are essential, and perhaps why you want to enter the service mode.

The solution is an easy fix. Ignore anyone telling you to take it to a service center or to replace the convergence driver. You need to access the service menu on your television by using your remote control:

DRIVE CONVERGENCE Adjustment (Using remote control)

•Use the inner RGB box pattern.

(1)Set the [SLEEP TIMER] key to 0 min.

(2)Press the [DISPLAY] key and the [VIDEO STATUS]key simultaneously.

(3)Press the [9] key to display the RGB box pattern.

(4)Select the R mode by pressing the [DISPLAY] key.

(5)Adjust the R mode to setting as same as G mode bypressing the [CH ]+ / [CH -] key.

(6)Select the B mode pressing by the [DISPLAY] key.

(7)Adjust the B mode to setting as same as G mode bypressing the [VOL] - / [VOL +] key.

(8)Check to see that the cross pattern is white. If thecross pattern is not white, readjust (5) to (6).

That's it, your color is now corrected. Yes, I know...your welcome.

Unfortunately, JVC service manuals are not usually available outside of Authorized service centers. That being said, anyone that services TVs should have seen similar symptoms on other sets and should be able to "fix" this one even without a schematic. Call around. In the meantime, I'll look into this a bit more.
