I ran out of ink and replaced my cartridges. When I tried printing the alignment, it printed the alignment, then gave me the error message of ERROR 2200 and also says "Alignment problem. Remove tape...

Try cleaning the Gold section of the cartridges with a wet paper towel.

Unplug the printer and clean the gold contacts on the printer where the cartridge meets up to the printer with a wet paper towel. Do this till the towels come back clean.

Dry both the contacts on printer and cartridges.

Allow at least 30 mins for the printer to dry.

Plug the printer back in and reinstall the cartridges.

Align the cartridges,

Hope this helps.

My printer says "print cartridge missing or not

try removing both cartridges and cleaning the copper contacts on the back using a damp tissue, or cotton bud. If you still get same error, try using eraser rubber to rub the the contacts clean. Sometimes just removing/replacing the cartridges is enough to get them recognised again.

hope this helps

Black ink isnt working. I have replaced the cartrage and cleaned the heads on several occasions but still no joy.

Try cleaning the contact pin inside the cartridge, there are contact pins that make electrical contact with the cartridge. Also clean the copper foil tracing on the cartridge itselt, if still not printing try a new cartridge, If this is a refill cartridge or off brand sometimes they do not work as most printes have low level software to detect original print cartridges.

Kodak 5500 printer can't detect print head

open the cover and take out the printheads and clean the contact points. also clean the contact points on the printer.
reinstall it and see what it does, also try turning the printer off and on /
if this does not work you need a new printer /the printer hardware is bad for sure if you have already replaced the printhead and catridge .

if printer is in warranty ask for a replacement

You get this because the cartridge is not detected

When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect a print cartridge.

Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.

1. Unplug the unit and Open the top cover of the printer.

2. Remove the print cartridges.

3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.

5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

6. Close the top cover.

7. Try printing again.
