Question about Honda Electrical Supplies

Use a meter and adjust to 3000/3600rpm or 50/60Hz. Then check output voltage to be in range 230/115V depending on which country you are in. Adjustment is done on the governor to throttle linkages.

Driver belt for kino electric cement mixer

Hi Debbie:

You still get to use your calculator, but you need to use the mathematical formulae dealing with circles.

Area = pi times r squared

Volume of a cylinder = Area (of one end) times length.

For your cement mixer, (Average the diameter for simplicity)

All of the measurements need to be in the same units, lets use inches, then convert it to cubic feet.....

the volume would be:

pi (22 divided by 7)

times

1/2 diameter

times

1/2 diameter

times

depth

For my ancient mixer that would be:

22 / 7 x 10" x 10" x 22" = 6,914 cubic inches

1 cubic foot equals 12" x 12" x 12" equals 1728 cubic inches.

6,914 divided by 1728 equals 4 cubic feet.

Now we don't fill it right up, but that is its capacity.

Hope that helps.

By the way, my mixer likes 10 shovel fulls of navvy, 2 shovels of type 10 cement, and about 2 quarts of water to get a nice mix.

I do the water first,

then 5 navvy

then 2 cement

then another 5 navvy,

then just enough water to get the right consistency.

Cheerfuls!

Sometimes the most simplest of fixes is verifying that you have voltage at your outlet and that you have voltage getting to the motor.

Check the motor's overload button; reset if necessary.

Take resistance readings:

If anyone of their specs are out of whack, that's the component that is defective and will need to be replaced.

With no load on the generator, take a voltage reading at the output plug of the generator, if there is no voltage, check to make sure that no breakers are tripped or fuses blown.

Check that the GFI receptical is not tripped

Check that there are no blown fuses or tripped breakers

Verify that the engine is running at full RPM

If there is still no output, then either the field needs to be flashed (look on line to find a video on how to do this - YouTube), or the generator will need further diagnostics.

The are always turning if there is wet cement inside. Because wet cement settles really quickly so if it isn't turning it will dry on the bottom of the mixer.

Somewhere on the Generator is an Idle Control switch, turning this to the off position will stop the generator idling down in the first place. You'll need to do this to use tools that don't draw enough current to trip the idle control system into revving the engine.

It may say just how much current you have to draw in the manual (hint, hint).
