If you cant find a new charger from stores, you can always hunt for it on ebay or you can use the following Desktop charger which can be used for all mobile phone batteries. it is called a Generic battery charger.
not sure if this does it for you, but there are USB battery chargers on Ebay for this camera. I've got the same problem and that's all I've found - so far.
Did you cleaning the contacts on charger, If so then go to a camera store with your battery and charger and try there battery in your charger, Then you can narrow down the problem, I think your charger is bad. TC
