Looks like a component failure in the monitor, the backlight or inverter box has problems.

Its a common fault.

My monitor show picture but after seconds it

You will need to test the resistance reading of the transformer widings, transformers driving IC/TRANSISTORS, you may have bad lamp assemlies also but that will be harder to test without lamp tester. No bulging tops at all? Cap can look OK but can have high ESR.

I cant get the svideo to stay on after initial startup

Did you try pressing the FN (function) key and F8?
F8 should have what looks like a computer or tv on it in blue.
Hope that works!

Acer One 1542 series.Power on but not boot.

since you reseated the memory, the last two things I would do is remove the hard drive and dvd drive.

If you remove those and you can't get video then the motherboard is bad.

Acer One 1542 series not boot

Hi,
Take out the battery and the mains power, turn the laptop over and remove the ram cover, look for the ram and take it out by pushing the metal lugs outwards so the memory pops up, it's now ready to remove, the ram (memory) looks like this >>>>>>
2906af6.jpg

Once the memory is out look very close in the memory bay for 2 brass triangles, they will be in the shape of a diamond, get a flat head screwdriver and short them 2 pins out, this will clear the CMOS, put the memory back in, turn the laptop over and plug in power & hit the on/off button.
When it comes it will say that bios settings are wrong so go into the bios and set the time and date, save the changes and exit the bios, the computer will restart and hopefully boot up with no more problems.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Infocus X1 picture freezes and dissapears and then comes on again

your display settings may be off, so change settings to factory reset and you may have to drop the resolution on your computer. you may also have a bad cable, so try a different cable.
