Yes you have to screw into the door. usually you will see indents in the door where screws should be located. to make it easier use a fine drill bit and drill into the door first

Samsung French door fridge freezer handle came loose. The ***** on the right side fell into the back of the handle attachment so it won't go flush with the fridge.

Hello Marilyn;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You did not provide a model number which is located on a label on the inside liner of your fresh food section.

Usually the door handles are held on in one of two ways.

1.) Inspect the sides of the door handles. Are there small allen wrench screws - tighten them.

2.) Ok, no screws on the side. There are mounting brackets screwed onto the door. At times the screws become loose. Use a little muscle and pull the handle up hard to release from the bracket. Tighten the screws on the bracket to the door. Position the handle back on the bracket and pull the handle down hard until secure.

How to remove freezer door with water/ice dispenser on GE profile TFH22PRSM

TAKE OFF KICKPLATE ON BOTTOM OF UNIT. UNHOOK WATER LINE FROM QUICK CONNECT UNDERNEATH. ON TOP OF FRIDGE THERE IS A COVER OVER THE DOOR BRACKET. REMOVE THAT COVER. THEN REMOVE THE 2 OR 3 SCREWS HOLDING BRACKET TO TOP OF FRIDGE. THEY USUALLY ARE 5/16TH SCREWS.MAKE SURE THE HAVE DOOR SHUT OR SOMEONE HOLDING THE DOOR WHEN DOING THIS. AFTER REVING SCREWS AND BRACKET LIFT DOOR UP OFF BOTTOM HINGE AND WATER LINE FROM DOOR WILL COME OUT WITH IT.

Leveling a refridgerator

if not level you need to tip it back and unscrew or screw in the feet on it. use a 2ft level on top to be sure which way to go. if just the door, open door and there is a bracket in between the freezer and fridge and it should be adjustable a little bit. unscrew til lose adjust door to right spot and hold while tightening bolts. that should work. if the fridge door is on top and freezer is on bottom then adjust bracket screws on top of fridge.

I need to replace my dometic dm2862 fridge door. How do I get them on the pins?

There are two (or three) screws that hold the hinge bracket on, top and bottom. You will likely have to remove the freezer door to be able to get to the top of refrig door, if so equipped. Dodnt remove the bottom bracket as it is not necessary ... work from the top down.

THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE MAGNETIC SEAL AND THE FRIDGE COMPARTMENT, THE DOOR CAN BE LIFTED UP, IS THE A SPACER AVAILABLE TO FIT TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR TO COMPENSATE THE GAP. THANKS Frank...

Good day,
Just go to your local appliance parts house. They will have the shims you will need. Remove the top bracket, open the door slightly, and lift the door off. Install the number of shims necessary, and reinstall.
If it has a cam style bracket that helps close the door, replace it as well. It just bolts on, once the door is removed.

Freezer handle has de-attached from door on right side - can it be repaired? I cannot see how you could get at the bracket from inside the freezer door.

I checked the owners manual - found that two small screws holding the bracket on came loose - reattached the screws, then de-attached the handel from left side so entire handle was off. Then slid handle on both brackets left to right until it clicked on.

Fitting an integrated fridge freezer!

Hi Gareth. I fitted a door to my Hotpoint hsz2321L today. I used self tapping screws through the brackets into the fridge door sides. Looking at the old fridge that came out showed that this was the method used previously. No seal is broken and so the fridge is working perfectly. I do have an issue re-fitting the door onto the new fridge though. The pivot hinge on my fridge doesnt give enough clearance and so it catches on the unit at the side of it. The old fridge (a Bosch) cad cabinet hinges that would sort of concertina out to give clearence. Anyway, good luck.

I need to move my refrigerator, and to get it through the kitchen door I have to remove the frig and freezer doors from my Amana refrigerator (model # ARB2214CW) and then put them back on. Can you send me...

you will need to remove the freezer door first.

1.you will need to reach the top of the fridge. there is a cover there that will need to be removed. there might be a screw in the middle of it. if not than it just pops off.

2.you will need to remove those screws that hold that bracket on. after this you will be able to remove the freezer door. just open it and lift up the door will come off.

3.the bracket that the freezer came off of in the middle of the fridge you will need to remove these screws. After you have removed these screws the fridge door will come off. just open the door and lift up.

if you need to remove the lower bracket at the bottom of the fridge than you will need to remove the plastic cover and take the screws out of the bracket and the bracket will come off.

please do not forget to rate and comment about your experience today.

Spring came off freezer door on chefmate RS-06DR. Don't know to attache spring to freezer and door

I had that same issue - a little tricky to describe the fix, but here goes (very non-technical terms used here):

1) take the freezer door off if it hasn't already fallen off
2) unscrew the single screw that holds the plate (that the freezer door attaches to), onto the interior side wall of the fridge.
3) gentle ease the plate away from the fridge wall. It has some plugs that expand to keep in snug to the wall. Now that the plate is off you can work more easily with the spring and door.
4) The spring has 3 parts, the hockey stick end, the spring tube in the middle, and the u-shaped end. The door has a longer top guide (male) and a lower, shorter guide (male), and a tiny hole about 1/2 inch from the top guide. The plate has a bottom bracket (female), a top hole (female), and the top ledge that contains the top hole.
5) insert the hockey stick end of the spring into the tiny hole of the door while fitting the spring tube over the doors top male guide.
6) (this is the tricky part) - force the u-shaped end of the spring so it straddles the top ledge of the plate so that one part of the wire is above the plate and one part of the wire in below the plate.
7) while doing #6, the top male guide of the door should be inserted into the top female hole of the plate
8) snap the lower male guide of the door onto the female guide of the plate
9) you now have the door assembly intact. gently push the plugs of the plate back into the side of the fridge and screw the screw in.

It took me awhile to figure out, and the above instructions are from memory so if I got it a little wrong, you'll hopefully be able to figure it out. The keys were understanding where the spring fit and taking the plate off the fridge. Good luck.
