Question about Brother IntelliFax-1860C Plain Paper Inkjet Fax
1- Remove ALL the ink cartridges from the printer
2- Check that there is no residual tape on the cartridges.
3- Then clean the contacts on the cartridges as well as inside the printer itself
===> Do this with a small amount of warm water on a cotton swab until no ink comes off on the swab
4- If any of the other cartridges are low, empty, leaking or bulging, replace them with genuine and original ones.
5- Then turn off the machine and unplug it for 60 seconds
6- Insert the cartridges and check to see if the problem is still there.
If that does not solve the problem, Unfortunately it would confirm that printhead is defective. The print head is the part of the printer that puts ink from the cartridges onto the page. If your printer is in warranty please call Brother at 1-800-284-4329 Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 7:00pm EST and ask for a free printhead replacement. They will ask the date of purchase and the serial number of the printer.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
