Have you tried pulling out your battery and then powering the notebook up while the adapter is plugged in? This helped with the same problem I had. If it then stays on, put the battery back in and it should charge. If you have Vista, you may also have the problem of not enough RAM to operate it properly. Once we installed another G of RAM, it worked much more quickly and didn't lock up all the time. We also needed to replace the adapter and cord, but now it is like a new computer. We also backed up all our files and used the restore disk that came with the notebook. It was like brand new except much better with the extra memory. Hope this helps. There is plenty of info about the Vista memory issue if you Google it.

Red lights is on and when I go to turn on the TV the green light only stays on for 1 second.

Your external power supply is the culprit. The small box that is connected the outlet plug is bad. The TV itself is fine! The external box has a bad capacitor inside. You will find a 16 volt 1000MF capacitor at 105 degrees that is bad and next to that one is a 25 volt 1000MF at 105 degrees, replace as well! Show this info to your TV tech or hobbiest and repairs will be at hand. Thanks for asking and good luck!

I have a RCA NiteGlo RC4GLWD remote and a Toshiba tv. Could I get the codes for this please. This is a wonderful site. Keep up the good work.

Press & hold CODE SEARCH until light comes on, then release.
Press TV button, light will blink and then stay lit.
Punch in 3-digit code, light turns off.
Press power button and see if TV turns off or on depending previous state.

The codes listed in the manual for Toshiba TVs are:
049, 071, 072, 089, 105, 109, 117, 118, 160, 162

Good luck!

No Display, no audio, no power up sounds.

Sounds like a hardware failure because your not even reaching post. which means that its not software. i would take out the ram and hard drive. and then putting them back in. if that didn't do anything than I'm going to say you've probably got a dead mother board.
