Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet
Have you tried pulling out your battery and then powering the notebook up while the adapter is plugged in? This helped with the same problem I had. If it then stays on, put the battery back in and it should charge. If you have Vista, you may also have the problem of not enough RAM to operate it properly. Once we installed another G of RAM, it worked much more quickly and didn't lock up all the time. We also needed to replace the adapter and cord, but now it is like a new computer. We also backed up all our files and used the restore disk that came with the notebook. It was like brand new except much better with the extra memory. Hope this helps. There is plenty of info about the Vista memory issue if you Google it.
