Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Don't have USB mode in settings...

I just got a new sansa e250.

I plugged it into the computer, and it pops up as new hardware found...
But at "My computer" i can't see the mp3 player

I looked it up, and i have to switch it from MTP to UTC (or something like that)

The problem is now, i have to select USB Monde in settings, BUT IT ISN'T THERE! should i send it back, and ask a new one, or can i fix it myself?

Please help me, it's very frustrating...

Thanks in advance

Accidentally deleted everything on sansa e250 computer can't see device.

Hi there

I can understand issue. When you say the device is not detected. Then it could be an issue with the system files would have got deleted because of the format.

To fix this issue, i would recommend you to keep the device in MTP mode ( Menu->Settings->USB->MTP).
Connect the device to the computer.
It will give the message as Found New Hardware.
Go ahead and install the MTP drivers by following on screen instruction.
Then Unplug the device.
Restart the computer.
Connect the device.
Now we are offset and device will be detected.
IF still you have issue kindly revert..... Good luck

SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player with Mac? Is there any driver to make it compatible with Mac platform? Thank you

NOTE: MAC computers do NOT support MTP modes of USB conectivity in a MP player. A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a MAC computer will NOT be detected or recognized. MAC computers supports Sansa players in MSC mode Sansa players can only be recognized by a MAC if the USB mode on the Sansa player is set to Auto Detect or MSC.
Check in the System Profiler Open System Profiler from the Utilities folder, which is inside the Applications folder. From the Contents column on the left, under the Hardware header, select USB; the panel to the right will show all the USB devices that the computer recognizes. It may not identify them correctly by name, but it should have the right number of devices listed. . Navigate to USB Mode settings. Sansa View - From the Main Menu, select More > Settings/Options > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip+ - From the Main Menu, select Settings > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Clip, e200v1 series, e200v2 series and e200R - From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
2. Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC. e200R - PlayforSure is MTP and Rhapsody is MSC
See this tip posted here on this site for a better explanation on the modes - MTP and MSC. Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

Sansa E250 how do I put songs onto the mp3

Go to My Computer and then look for the Sansa 250 icon there. If it doesn't show up, unplug the USB cord and plug it in again. Once you have the icon visible in My Computer, click on it twice and open it up. To load content, go to wherever you have MP3 files or whatever and use Windows Explorer to copy the content from your computer to the Sansa. You can also manage it through Real Player or other MP3 players (Media Monkey).

Problems with Sansa e250 + Rockbox

Windows Recovery Mode:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

MY sansa e260 MP3 player

Try to add the device manually.

Plug the player in while it’s set to "MTP" mode. (This selection is in the Settings area)

On your computer, open Device Manager, and select: Add Hardware.

Choose the "already connected the hardware" option.

From list, choose "Add a new hardware device".

Select: "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list."

Select: Portable Devices, then MTP device.

Hope it works for you.

Try changing the MODE on the device thru Settings>Mode or USB Mode.
