If you have the correct manual, then follow the programming instructions from the phone connected to the 1st jack (ext 11) or 101.

It may be that you have a 61610 circle 3 and a manual for some other revision, or vice versa. Ringing is programmed around 07 08 or 09 in most of the 616 and 308 systems, and in the 406-9 area in the TA series.

I have 3 CO lines coming in. I want the 3rd to be available, but not to ring (it is the fax line). How can i have the first two ring, but not the 3rd?

TDA ringing is controlled by ICD groups. If the fax is part of the system (an extension) then you need to set up an ICD group (like #2) that puts the fax extension in it and rings only the fax. If your fax is external to the phone system but you still want to use the fax line, then you take the incoming CO out of any ring group at all (leave the column blank). All of this requires installer access or a really good read on the PTPM manual.

Answer phone from any extension

Pickup code from any extension. *4001 works if your incoming calls are in ring group 1. *41 ext works if a specific phone is ringing and *42 works if the external pager is ringing.

When calls come into the office ext. 10 rings. It's the receptionist's desk. However ext. 29 rings too. How can I stop ext. 29 from ringing on all incoming calls?

Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Central telephone Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout

How do I send a call to internal voice mail?

Use feature 986 (transfer to VM) then enter in the co-workers extension number. That will bypass the extension and send the caller directly to his voicemail.

Incoming calls ring 3 times at main extension, then phone stops ringing at main & rolls over to ring at all other phones. Phone rings once at those extensions before going to voicemail. (We have...

Your voicemail thinks that it is ringing six times. The time that it takes to transfer to the extensions counts. Whiloe it seems that there is a lapse the system actually is using enough time to ring six times total. If you need longer ring time at the extension, take in account the transfer time and set it to pick up after 8 or 9 rings. It will actually only ring six. You just have to trick the system a little.

Stop ringing at certian phones when outside calls come in.

http://dstech1.com/programming-line-ringing/

Partner, all releases.
Examples
Receptionist Call Routing. If you want calls to be answered by the receptionist first, set the lines at the receptionist's extension to Immediate Ring and the lines at the users' extensions to No Ring. (This is the factory setting)
Receptionist Backup. If you want all calls on a line to ring directly at users' extensions -with the receptionist providing backup -set the line at the users' extensions to Immediate Ring. Then set the line (or lines) at the receptionist's extension to Delayed Ring. An incoming call that is not answered by a user within 20 seconds will also ring at the receptionist's extension.
Programming
To change the way outside lines or pools ring at an extension:
  1. Press [ Feature ] [ 0 ] [ 0 ] [ System Program ] [ System Program ] [ Central Tel Program ].
  2. Enter the number of the extension to be programmed for Line Ringing. The green lights next to the line or pool buttons on the phone show the current Line Ringing settings for all lines assigned to the extension. (If a line is not assigned to a button, the green light next to the button is off.) The following ringing options can be shown by the green light next to the line button.
    • Immediate Ring - on steady
    • Delayed Ring - flashes slowly
    • No Ring - flutters quickly
  3. To change Line Ringing for any line, press the line or pool button until the button light shows the correct setting (the setting for the currently selected line or pool also appears on the display).
  4. Continue programming or exit programming mode.
