Question about Samsung Cardo Scala 500 Hands-free Headset for Non-Bluetooth Phones with 2.5 Port Headset

Open Question

My Scala 500 headset seems as if it won't charge. I plugged it in to the wall and the red light flashes and stops. I don't know if its battery is full or its a bad battery. Also if the battery does work, the headset wont turn on unless its plugged to the wall. How do I fix this?

SOURCE: I plugged in my bluetooth

High voltage damaged your device. You need to check your charger output first.

Charge light on scala q3 does not go off when charging

I am more familiar with the G4 and G9 models but usually when the charging light will not go out the battery is beginning to fail. I believe I read that these models contain the same battery as the original classic Ipod. They can be found on ebay or Amazon.

I have batteries for the G4 and G9 models. I can be reached at Chris at RoamingDZ dot com. or 478-227-9445

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.

•With the Charger Plugged In

•Headset Indicator Headset Status
Red-----------------------------------------------Charging (battery level less than 50% charge)
Yellow-------------------------------------------Charging (battery level more than 50% charge)

Three blue flashes------------------------Powering on/off
Steady blue --------------------------------Pairing/connect mode
Rapid blue/purple flashes -------------Connection successful
Quick blue flash --------------------------Incoming/outgoing call
Slow blue pulse --------------------------Connected (on a call)
Slow blue flash ---------------------------Standby (not on a call)
Slow red flash ----------------------------Idle (not connected to phone)
Slow purple pulse -----------------------Connected call muted
Steady red ---------------------------------Attempting to connect
Quick red flash ----------------------------Low battery

Note: After 20 minutes on a call or of inactivity, the light stops flashing to conserve power, but the headset remains on

Hope that'll help you in some way.

Bluetooth is plugged into charger but keeps flashing red light, dont know if its charging or not

I had the same issue -- charged it for days and still red light flashing. I was ready to break it open and see if I could replace battery. Then I looked on the opposite end of the charger and seen a little round hole thingy. I put the end of a pen in there and pushed it twice and -- the red light went away . Plugged the charge in and steady red then purple and now blue. Looks like that is a reset ..Try it -- it worked for mine.

How to connect with bluetooh

You need to:
  1. ensure the bluetoothicon1.png setting is turned on on the handset
  2. switch on the scala 500
  3. press and hold the scala 500 power button until the red and blue lights are both flashing (you have to hold the button in for quite a few seconds)
  4. now you can search for new bluetooth devices from your handset and it should find it to enable you to connect
  5. if it asks you for a code/passcode the default is 0000 for this headset

I Can`t switch my headset on, and it stops charging after 20 secs

Move the call control button up or down, the indicator light will flash blue if it's paired or blue and red. If it flashes blue and red you need to pair phone with the headset. the passkey is 0000.
