Fuji will replace it, contact them. I had to replace mine 4 times, and they finally sent me a new camera. Now, I am also experiencing the lines across my photos with the new camera. It seems like they have many faulty products.

My camera wont zoom

I had a similar problem on a Kodak Easyshare camera. The gear merchanism for the Zoom had jammed. I know it sounds drastic, but I fixed it by pushing in on the lens assembly until is snapped back in place. It could be a bad motor or bad motor driver circuit too.

Zoom error

There is a problem in the zoom functions of the lens assembly. Dust and lint can get in it and jam it, and you can try to spray compressed air into the lens in hopes of freeing it up. A gear can also be jammed, or stripped. If it's just jammed, you may be able to fix it yourself. Here is a web page that details all the things you can try to get it working. They say about half of the cameras with these problems can be fixed by trying their suggestions. The article says it's for lens errors, but it applies to the problem you're having:
If none of these tips help, the camera will have to be serviced. Get an estimate first, since the cost of repair can exceed the replacement cost of a new one. Good luck, and hope this helps.

Droped camera zoom wont go back in just says zoom error, zoom is on an angle i can see a tiny ball bearing is it fixable

Officially the answer is "no" as your camera will need a replacement zoom lens assembly and supplying and fitting it costs more than your camera is worth.

But that means you have nothing to lose by trying!

You can try some of the fixes listed in this link and fix #7 is the one which most likely applies in this instance, but if thecamera is still covered by the manufacturer's warrantythe repair will be done by Fuji free of charge as long as there's noevidence that you have been clumsy or have tried repairing it yourself.

I hope that you get your camera working again and that you found my reply to be of use. If so, please rate my answer.

I have a Nikon AF-SNIKKOR 18-55mm 1.3.5-5.6GII ED and it is ''locked'' at 55. I cannot get it to zoom in. The problem started after the lens was shaken by my camera bag falling to the fall....any...

Sounds like the lens is jammed and the fall did some damage to the lens. You could apply a little more force to the zoom and it may or may not pop back into place. It is work a try since impact/shock is not covered be the warranty; and the cost of repair is almost as much as a new lens.

Zoom error

worked on allot of fuji's. first detease, a gear is slipping in the lens retract assembly due to a crack or wear or jam

2nd guest .. zoom errors means its really stuck tight

the gears can be ordered and replaced and one more possibility is that the motor that drives the gear is bad
Also if dropped or zoom lens jammed hard... lens assembly needs total realignment or replacing..

the spare parts won't be so much, if you try and fix it yourself, you will save a ton of money otherwise it could be around $100 to send it in and get it fixed. You can start finding the problem by opening the screws on the bottom/back of the camera and find what gears are jammed and won't zoom. or I can get you a number to call to send it in, thanks

Let me know what you want to do
